Browse all 10 kits → यह पाठ योग तथा सूर्यनमस्कार पर केन्द्रित है, संवाद-रूप में। बालक प्रातः पिता के साथ उद्यान जाते हैं जहाँ लोग व्यायाम तथा योगासन करते हैं; योगिता तथा अन्य छात्र योगशिक्षिका के पास जाकर सूर्यनमस्कार सीखना चाहते हैं। आचार्या समझाती हैं कि सूर्यनमस्कार बारह आसनों का समाहार है और प्रत्येक आसन से पूर्व एक मन्त्र होता है। पाठ में सूर्य के बारह नामों के मन्त्र दिए गए हैं — "ॐ मित्राय नमः", "ॐ रवये नमः", "ॐ सूर्याय नमः", "ॐ भानवे नमः" आदि — जो सूर्य के विविध रूपों (मित्र, रवि, सूर्य, भानु, खग, पूषा, हिरण्यगर्भ, मरीचि, आदित्य, सवितृ, अर्क, भास्कर) को सम्बोधित करते हैं। आचार्या यह भी बताती हैं कि सूर्यनमस्कार से शारीरिक, मानसिक तथा आध्यात्मिक बल बढ़ता है और स्वस्थ शरीर तथा स्वस्थ मन प्राप्त होता है। व्याकरण-दृष्टि से यह पाठ चतुर्थी विभक्ति सिखाता है — "नमः" शब्द के योग में तथा दान-अर्थ (दा-धातु, यच्छ्-धातु) में चतुर्थी विभक्ति होती है, जैसे "भास्कराय नमः", "छात्राय पुस्तकं ददाति"।
स सूर्यनमस्कारः बारह आसनों का समाहार; प्रत्येक से पूर्व सूर्य का एक नाम-मन्त्र बोला जाता है।
म मित्राय नमः सूर्य के मित्र-रूप को नमस्कार; "नमः" के योग में चतुर्थी विभक्ति (मित्र → मित्राय)।
च चतुर्थी विभक्ति सम्प्रदान कारक; "नमः" तथा दान-अर्थ (दा/यच्छ्) के योग में होती है — छात्राय, देवाय, भगिन्यै।
स सूर्य के बारह नाम मित्र, रवि, सूर्य, भानु, खग, पूषा, हिरण्यगर्भ, मरीचि, आदित्य, सवितृ, अर्क, भास्कर।
आ आध्यात्मिकम् अध्यात्म-विषयक; सूर्यनमस्कार से शारीरिक-मानसिक के साथ आध्यात्मिक बल भी बढ़ता है।
द दा-धातुः देना (परस्मैपद); ददाति-दत्तः-ददति; इसके योग में देय-पात्र चतुर्थी में आता है।
