Career and exam decisions

Talk your next step through with someone who has lived it

Choose an exam or decision, see who is qualified to help, and book one focused conversation. No anonymous lead form and no counsellor assigned without your choice.

What decision are you making?

Each guide is written for a different situation. The counsellor profile remains one canonical page wherever that person is recommended.

Questions that deserve context

Search results can give options. A useful counsellor helps compare them against your preparation, constraints and goals.

  • Which stream should I choose after Class 10?
  • Should I take a drop year for JEE?
  • Which coaching will suit the way I study?
  • College or branch—which should I prioritise?
  • Is an M.Tech worth it for my career?
  • Should I choose a job, PhD or research abroad?

Not a course

A session is a focused decision conversation. It does not replace subject teaching, test practice or long-term coaching.

Bring the real options

Ranks, colleges, coaching choices, family constraints and previous attempts make the answer personal. Keep those details ready.

A clear next action

The aim is to leave knowing what to compare, what to do next and which decision does not need to be made yet.

Career counselling FAQs

Booking, payment, call format and choosing the right person.

What is ProSyllabus counselling?

It is a paid one-to-one conversation with a counsellor whose background and areas of experience are shown before booking. Sessions focus on a specific education or career decision.

How do I choose the right counsellor?

Start with the decision you are making, then read the counsellor’s full profile, credentials and question areas. Choose the person whose first-hand experience is closest to your situation.

How much does a counselling call cost?

The current fee and duration appear on every counsellor card and profile. The amount comes from the booking system and is shown again before secure checkout.

Which payment methods are supported?

Indian visitors can use supported UPI apps, debit or credit cards and netbanking through the payment gateway. Supported international cards are available for visitors outside India.

When do I choose phone or WhatsApp video?

You choose the call type after payment and confirm the number that should be used. WhatsApp is requested only when you select WhatsApp video.

What happens if no slot is confirmed?

If ProSyllabus does not confirm a slot within the period shown on the booking—currently 48 hours—the payment is automatically refunded to the original payment method.

Is counselling the same as coaching?

No. Counselling helps with choices and strategy. It is not subject teaching, a test series, application submission or an ongoing coaching programme.

Can a parent book or join a call?

Yes. Parents can participate when the decision involves school streams, coaching, fees or relocation. Students should join decisions that affect their daily study and future plans.

Secure payment options

The full session fee is shown before checkout. Nothing is charged later.
