Talk engineering, research and higher-study decisions with Prof. Ajit Kumar
Talk engineering, research and higher-study decisions with Prof. Ajit KumarBring one focused question about Mechanical or Mining engineering, M.Tech, PhD, projects, research or an industry-to-academia transition.

For CBSE and JEE aspirants

Build the habits and engineering clarity that should come before a rank or branch decision. The conversation can connect school preparation, JEE planning and the academic work students encounter after admission.

  • Plan JEE Main and Advanced preparation without neglecting CBSE concepts and board work
  • Identify the Physics, Mathematics and problem-solving foundations that need attention
  • Understand Mechanical Engineering, core engineering branches and academic life at an IIT
  • Choose useful school projects and technical exploration before committing to a branch

For Mechanical and Mining engineers

Discuss specialisation, technical roles and higher-study choices with someone who has worked with underground mining equipment and now teaches and researches machine design and fluid power.

  • Choose between core industry, M.Tech, research and an academic route
  • Understand careers in hydraulics, automation, construction equipment and mining machinery
  • Select projects and laboratory skills that demonstrate real engineering ability
  • Assess whether a particular specialisation fits your interests and long-term work

Research, PhD and innovation guidance

A focused call for students considering research or trying to turn a technical interest into credible academic work.

  • Narrow a broad interest into a practical research direction or project question
  • Prepare for M.Tech or PhD conversations with faculty and prospective supervisors
  • Understand the roles of experiments, simulation, papers and patents in a research profile
  • Plan the transition from industry experience to higher studies or academia
