Mohit Bhola
PhD from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad · Postdoc → Researcher at Aalborg University, Denmark
Speaks English and Hindi
Mohit worked in industry for two and a half years, then did his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad (2016–2022), with a spell as a hydraulic design engineer along the way. He moved to Aalborg University in Denmark as a postdoctoral researcher in 2022 and has been a Researcher at AAU Energy — a post he describes as equivalent to Assistant Professor — since 2025. His work is in fluid power and wind energy: he currently works on enhancing reliability in hydraulic pitch systems for wind turbines with leading European turbine manufacturers and component suppliers, and previously on control systems for digital displacement motors and energy-efficient hydraulic drives. He has 36 publications, and guest-edits a special issue on hydraulic systems for Machines (MDPI). He counsels on the decision he has been on both sides of: take the job, or do the research.

- Publishing your first paper, and what a supervisor is looking for
One focused conversation, not a course. If you need ongoing coaching, say so on the call and he will tell you honestly whether he is the right person for it.
