University of Calcutta conducts a Computer Based Test (CBT) for postgraduate admission (MA/M.Sc/M.Com) across its College Street and Alipore campuses in Kolkata, covering languages, humanities, sciences and commerce. The 40% non-CU-quota seats are filled via this entrance test (100 marks, 1 hour, +2 for correct/-0.5 for wrong answer); the remaining 60% go to CU-affiliated college graduates.
