Checked 30 September 2026. Editions from IIBF’s JAIIB, CAIIB and CAIIB Elective pages; flipbook terms from IIBF’s notice of 07.04.2026; mock-test terms from the IIBF mock-test site; class fees from IIBF PDC notices of 2026; e-learning and Subject Updates from IIBF’s Annual Report 2025-26. Editions change when IIBF revises a book. Freshness check on 30 September 2026: IIBF’s homepage, JAIIB page and CAIIB page were re-opened and no JAIIB or CAIIB notice newer than 13 September 2026 was found.
IIBF publishes one official book for each JAIIB and CAIIB paper, and most candidates start there. What the course pages do not spell out is that the editions differ sharply by language and by paper. The English JAIIB and CAIIB books are 2026 editions; the Hindi JAIIB books are 2024, the Hindi CAIIB books 2025, and the five elective books 2023. Because every paper also tests recent regulatory developments up to a fixed cut-off, the edition year tells you how much you will need to add from elsewhere.
This guide covers the books, the flipbooks that come with them, the official mock test, IIBF’s contact classes and its e-learning. Which modules each paper covers is in our syllabus module map; how to handle the numerical chapters is in our numericals guide.

Which edition is on sale
| Course | Medium | Edition (IIBF page) | Publisher |
|---|---|---|---|
| JAIIB (IE&IFS, PPB, AFM, RBWM) | English | 2026 | Macmillan Education India Pvt. Ltd. |
| JAIIB (same four papers) | Hindi | 2024 | Macmillan Education India Pvt. Ltd. |
| CAIIB (ABM, BFM, ABFM, BRBL) | English | 2026 | Macmillan Education India Pvt. Ltd. |
| CAIIB (same four papers) | Hindi | 2025 | Macmillan Education India Pvt. Ltd. |
| CAIIB electives (Rural Banking, HRM, IT & Digital Banking, Risk Management, Central Banking) | English | 2023 | Macmillan Education India Pvt. Ltd. |
IIBF’s JAIIB and CAIIB pages also sell a Complete JAIIB 2026 Study Pack and a Complete CAIIB 2026 Study Pack, each the four English books together, through the publisher’s online bookshop. The ISBNs in IIBF’s links are 9789375378341 for the JAIIB pack and 9789375370260 for the CAIIB pack, which is a quick way to confirm you are buying the current set rather than an older edition from a reseller. IIBF’s pages do not print the prices.
IIBF’s own FAQ page is out of date on this point. It says the study material is published by “Macmillan India Ltd. and Taxmann Publication Pvt. Ltd.” with a 20% discount at the publishers’ outlets. The live JAIIB, CAIIB and Elective pages list only Macmillan Education India. We treat the course pages as the operative source and do not repeat the discount.
Flipbooks: only with the printed book
IIBF’s notice of 7 April 2026 introduced flipbooks, digital versions of the JAIIB, CAIIB, CAIIB Elective and DB&F study books. Buyers of the original printed books get a QR code link and unique access codes for the digital version. The notice is explicit that flipbooks are provided only on purchase of the original printed books; there is no separate digital purchase. A second-hand copy will not come with working codes, so if you want the digital version on your phone for commuting, buy new.
IIBF’s Annual Report 2025-26 also says it has made e-books for JAIIB and CAIIB available to members and that it has around 60 publications in all. The report does not say how members access those e-books or whether they differ from the flipbooks, so check your IIBF profile before buying twice.
The cut-off rule, and why the edition matters
Every JAIIB and CAIIB paper asks about recent developments, and IIBF fixes how recent. For exams held from March to August, it uses regulatory guidelines and developments up to 31 December of the previous year. For exams held from September to February, the cut-off is 30 June. So the November 2026 JAIIB and December 2026 CAIIB papers use developments up to 30 June 2026 (our application of the rule).
Set against the editions, that gives a clear picture. A candidate using the 2026 English books is close to the cut-off. A candidate using the 2024 Hindi JAIIB books is up to two years behind on regulation, and an elective candidate using the 2023 books up to three years behind (our reading; IIBF does not print the date up to which each book is current). IIBF’s rules also warn that the courseware should not be the only source, and point candidates to IIBF’s updates, RBI Master Circulars and Master Directions, IIBF Vision, Bank Quest, and the websites of RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, FEDAI and others.
The most useful single resource for closing that gap is IIBF’s own Subject Updates. Its annual report says the important RBI Master Directions and Master Circulars are summarised subject-wise and placed on its website as Subject Updates, with links to the originals. For an elective candidate on a 2023 book, those updates are not optional reading.
Is my book current enough for my sitting?
Pick your book and the month of your exam. The checker applies IIBF’s cut-off rule for regulatory developments and shows how far the syllabus reaches beyond the book’s edition year.
Cut-off rule: IIBF JAIIB and CAIIB Rules & Syllabus 2026. Editions: IIBF’s JAIIB, CAIIB and CAIIB Elective pages, checked 30 September 2026. The gap is our reading; IIBF does not print the date up to which each book is current.
The official mock test
| Term | IIBF mock test (Sify-run site linked from IIBF’s menu) |
|---|---|
| Where | A separate registration on the mock-test site, not part of the exam fee |
| Exams covered | JAIIB, DB&F, CAIIB compulsory papers, Certified Credit Officer, Certified Treasury Professional, Risk in Financial Services |
| Format | 100 multiple-choice questions, 120 minutes, no negative marking, submitted automatically at 120 minutes |
| Fee | Rs 100 plus GST per subject; register subject by subject or all at once |
| Validity | Login valid for 3 months; each subject has a single attempt within those 3 months |
| Result | Only your own performance is shown at the end |
Two cautions. First, the attempt count: the visible text on the mock-test site says each subject has a single attempt within the three months, while an older version of the same page, still present in its source code but not shown, said “valid for two attempts or for 3 months”. Go by the visible text: one attempt per subject. So sit the mock when you are ready to use it as a timed rehearsal, not on the first day. Second, coverage: IIBF’s annual report describes the mock test as covering CAIIB’s compulsory subjects, and we found no official mock test for the electives.
Contact classes and e-learning
| Provider (2026 notice) | Fee per subject | Four subjects | Terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| IIBF PDC Lucknow: JAIIB/DB&F, online | Rs 2,000 + 18% GST = Rs 2,360 | Rs 9,440 | Apply by 30 June 2026 for the November 2026 sitting; fees not refunded |
| IIBF PDC Lucknow: JAIIB/DB&F, physical | Rs 2,500 + 18% GST = Rs 2,950 | Rs 11,800 | A physical batch needs at least 25 applicants per subject |
| IIBF PDC North Zone: CAIIB, online | Rs 2,000 + 18% GST = Rs 2,360 | Rs 9,440 | Compulsory papers; classes April-May 2026 for the May/June sitting; “Recordings will not be provided” |
The contact classes are run by IIBF’s Professional Development Centres, and their notices appear on IIBF’s homepage before each sitting, usually months ahead: the Lucknow JAIIB batch closed applications on 30 June 2026 for a November exam. The North Zone CAIIB notice states that recordings will not be provided, so an online class is only useful if you can attend it live. We do not reproduce the faculty contact details printed in the brochures.
IIBF also offers e-learning for all JAIIB papers; its rules say login details are emailed to candidates who register for it, and that the facility is at IIBF’s discretion. We could not find the fee published. Check with your bank before paying: IIBF’s Annual Report 2025-26 says Union Bank of India, Bank of India and Punjab & Sind Bank have deployed IIBF’s JAIIB and CAIIB e-learning on their own learning management systems, where it can be freely accessed by all staff members, and that Infosys has taken the JAIIB e-learning.
What IIBF does not provide
IIBF does not publish past JAIIB or CAIIB question papers, and its rules say its questions and answers are its intellectual property and will not be shared. Sharing questions from a sitting is a 24-month debarment under the table effective from 1 November 2025, set out in our exam-day guide. Treat any set sold as an official previous paper with caution, and prefer practice written from the syllabus.

Rs 100 plus GST per subject, on the Sify-run mock-test site linked from IIBF’s menu. Each subject has a single attempt within a 3-month validity.
What do IIBF contact classes cost?
IIBF’s 2026 notices price online classes at Rs 2,000 plus 18% GST, Rs 2,360 per subject, and PDC Lucknow’s physical JAIIB classes at Rs 2,950 per subject. Fees are not refunded.
Is IIBF e-learning free?
