Where other pages get this wrong
The 2022 gazette notification (G.S.R.144) is the SAS service rules, not the exam notification.
Commonly published instead: Several pages — including an older page of ours — describe G.S.R.144/Const./Art.309/2022 of 13 December 2022 as the notification under which the SAS exam is held.
G.S.R.144 is the Haryana State Accounts Subordinate (Group C) Service Rules, 2022: the cadre rules for the 523 Section Officer posts. It sets who may be appointed through the exam, but the exam itself is announced each cycle by a separate Finance Department notice. For 2026, that notice is dated 10 July 2026.

Both are scanned documents. We have not transcribed dates or fees from them, and we would rather send you to the original than print a date we have not checked. The corrigendum concerns applications, so read it together with the notice.
How SAS applications work
What the rules say about applying
- Applications are submitted through your Head of Department, with the required documents and fee, by the date the notice fixes. The Finance Department letter of 2021 says the fee is "as be notified while inviting the application".
- HIPA has also run online application forms on hipaco.in for some SAS papers (SAS-I and the LAD branch of SAS-II in 2024).
- One coaching site gives the fee as Rs 3,000 per part, paid through e-GRAS. We could not confirm that from an official document — check the notice.
Two practical points. Because the application goes through your department, the effective deadline is earlier than the one in the notice — your office has to process and forward it. And because the Treasuries department issued a corrigendum on applications within three weeks of the notice, read the latest corrigendum before you submit.

The pattern is worth noting: the 2024 Part I cycle slipped into January 2025, and its result took six months of corrections to settle. Plan for the notice-to-exam gap to be months, not weeks — which is time to prepare, not wait.

Yes. The Finance Department issued "Haryana SAS Examination (Ordinary Branch), Part I and Part II" on 10 July 2026, and a corrigendum regarding applications on 30 July 2026. Both are posted on the Treasuries and Accounts Department’s SAS Related Instructions page.

When is the Haryana SAS exam 2026?

Who conducts the Haryana SAS exam?
HIPA — the Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Gurugram — conducts the examination. The Finance Department, through the Treasuries and Accounts Department, issues the notice, corrigenda and results.
What is G.S.R.144 of 2022?
The Haryana State Accounts Subordinate (Group C) Service Rules, 2022, notified on 13 December 2022. They are the service rules for Section Officers, including who can be appointed through the SAS exam. They are not the exam notification.
How do I apply for the SAS exam?
Through your Head of Department, with documents and the notified fee, by the date in the notice. HIPA has also used online forms on hipaco.in for some papers. Check the current notice and its corrigendum for this cycle’s method.
