Checked 29 September 2026. URATPG-2027 has not been announced (checked 25 Sep 2026). Dates for 2025 and 2026 are from the university's notices; items marked reported are from third-party pages.
As of 25 September 2026 the University of Rajasthan has announced nothing about URATPG-2027. What it has published is two complete cycles, and they differ in one important way: the 2025 exam was held in June, the 2026 exam in late August. The process inside each cycle — form, test, answer key, result, a separate Phase II application, then department merit lists — has stayed the same. This guide lays out both cycles, what they suggest for 2027, and each step of the process, so a final-year student can plan from now.
URATPG-2025 and URATPG-2026 notices, University of Rajasthan.
The last two cycles

Official dates from the URATPG-2025 and 2026 important-dates notices, the 3 Aug 2026 extension notice, the 2026 timetable and the 15 Sep 2026 press note. The 2026 bulletin names the ICICI gateway; the FAQ adds Paytm, PhonePe and GPay. "Reported" items are from education sites; the university did not publish them in a document we could find.
Our arithmetic on the dates above.
Two readings for 2027 are possible. If the university returns to the 2025 rhythm, the form opens in May and the exam is in June. If it keeps 2026's, the form opens in July and the exam is in late August. Nothing official points either way. The safe plan is to be ready by early June and treat any later date as extra time — and to watch uniofraj.org from April.
Phase I: the test form, step by step
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Register on uniofraj.org and pay the test fee online (₹850 / ₹1,090 / ₹1,330 General; ₹660 / ₹850 / ₹1,090 SC/ST in 2026) |
| 2 | Fill the online form: up to three test subjects; no hard copy needed in Phase I |
| 3 | Use the edit window if you made a mistake (4–5 Aug in 2026) |
| 4 | Check the subject-wise timetable, then download the admit card and paste a self-attested colour photo |
| 5 | Sit the paper with valid photo ID (the bulletin asks for a government ID; the FAQ lists two, such as Aadhaar and a voter ID or licence); keep the question booklet |
| 6 | Check the answer key at 6 pm that day; send any grievance within 48 hours in the prescribed format |
| 7 | Check the result on the portal |
From the 2026 bulletin, FAQ and important dates. The payment page in 2026 accepted the ICICI gateway and UPI apps; the fee is not refunded.
Would your three subjects have clashed in 2026?
URATPG-2026 ran 28 papers in 20 sittings over five days, so some subjects shared a slot. Pick your subjects to see where each sat in 2026 and whether two landed together.
From the URATPG-2026 subject-wise timetable (20–24 Aug 2026; sittings at 7:30, 10:30, 1:30 and 4:30). The 2027 timetable will be new. The bulletin does not say how a clash between two chosen subjects is handled — if you see one, ask the convener's office before paying for both.
Phase II: applying for programmes
The result does not admit you anywhere. In Phase II you fill a second online form for the programmes you want — at most five, and only those linked to subjects you sat — pay a form fee, and then take a printed copy with self-attested documents to each department by the deadline (17 September, 4 pm in 2026). Departments build their merit lists from these forms. Miss the hard-copy deadline and you are not on the list, however good your score.
| Phase II step | Detail (2026) |
|---|---|
| Online programme form | 5–16 Sep; up to five programmes; the no-test programmes (Sanskrit, Urdu, Music, Visual Arts and others) had the same extended deadline |
| Hard copy to each department | By 17 Sep, 4 pm, with marksheets, category and weightage certificates and the challan for each programme |
| First merit list | 23 Sep, department by department; no individual message. 55 first lists were published on 23–24 Sep at uniofraj.org/uratpg-merit-lists |
| Document verification and fee | Fee 24–26 Sep |
| Law PG | All Law PG by counselling on entrance marks plus weightage: LL.M. (General) 28–29 Sep, Unreserved band 93–77 called; LL.M. (HR&VE) 30 Sep, Unreserved band 89–71 called; diploma instructions notified separately |
| Later lists | Not dated in advance; in 2023 second lists came about two weeks after the first |
From the Phase-II important dates, the 15 Sep 2026 press note, the Law notice of 24 Sep 2026, the LL.M. counselling notices of 25 and 28 Sep 2026, the merit-lists page and the 2023 department lists.
Phase II mistakes that cost seats
- Applying online but not delivering the hard copy to the department.
- Listing a programme whose test subject you did not sit — it is not allowed.
- Forgetting the weightage certificate: Ordinance 81-III says certificates are not entertained after the form.
- Waiting for an SMS. The bulletin says no separate intimation is sent — check the notice board and the portal.
- Missing the fee window after the first list: the 2023 department lists warned that admission of anyone who did not pay by the date would be cancelled automatically.
Why the dates move — and what does not
The 2026 cycle was also the first on a new admission portal, uniofraj.org (2025 ran on admissions.univraj.org), and the first set on the NEP six-semester syllabus; the university has not said why the dates moved. Whatever the month, three things have been constant across both years: the answer key appears on the evening of each paper, grievances close 48 hours after it, and the programme application is a separate form after the result, with a hard copy to each department. Students who treat the result as the finish line are the ones who lose seats.
| Constant in 2025 and 2026 | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Answer key on the exam day, 6 pm | You can work out your score — and your merit — the same night |
| 48-hour grievance window | Challenges after that are not entertained |
| Separate Phase II form and hard copy | The result alone admits you nowhere |
| Department-wise merit lists | Each programme has its own list and closing score |
What to do between now and the notification
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Now – January | Download the NEP UG syllabus for your subjects; choose your two or three test subjects; start unit-wise study |
| February – March | First pass through all six semesters; sample paper once, untimed, to see the style |
| April | Check eligibility for your target programmes; gather NCC/NSS/sports certificates; watch uniofraj.org |
| May – June | Timed 100-question mocks; apply as soon as the form opens; sit the exam if it follows 2025 |
| July – August | Keep revising if the exam follows 2026; the final UG marksheet will be needed for Phase II |

Where other pages get this wrong
The URATPG-2026 form closed on 8 August 2026 and the exam was held on 20–24 August 2026.
Commonly published instead: "Application 13 July – 3 August" as the final window, "exam 17–22 August", or "exam in July, result in late July".
The university extended the form to 8 August (notice of 3 August 2026) and published a timetable for 20–24 August. The July-exam claim matches neither year.
Practise it, don't just read it
Whichever month the 2027 exam lands in, the preparation is the same. Subject quizzes are a quick way to start.
The ProSyllabus URATPG library has subject quizzes for English, ABST, EAFM, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Geography and Philosophy — the first one is free.
When is the URATPG 2027 exam?
Not announced as of 25 September 2026. The 2025 exam was in June and the 2026 exam on 20–24 August, so plan to be ready by June.

What is URATPG Phase 2?
A second online form, after the result, in which you apply for up to five programmes linked to the subjects you sat, then submit a hard copy with documents to each department.
When was the URATPG 2026 merit list released?
The first department merit lists were declared on 23 September 2026, with fees deposited on 24–26 September.
How do I check the URATPG merit list?
On the department notice board and uniofraj.org. The university sends no individual message.
When was the URATPG 2026 result declared?
The university's schedule said "to be announced"; education sites reported 1 September 2026.
Can I edit the URATPG form after submitting?
