Three state universities fill most of Haryana's B.Ed seats through their affiliated colleges: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Kurukshetra University (KUK) and Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU), Jind. All three admit on the merit of your qualifying degree. None runs an entrance test. They differ in timing, fee, the number of seats, the tie-break and how the last seats are filled — and because the windows barely overlap, a student who understands the three calendars can apply to all of them. This guide puts the 2026 rules side by side from each university's own prospectus.

KUK runs first and finishes first: its three online rounds were over by 29 August and its last date of admission is 30 September 2026. CRSU runs through September and closes around 1–3 October. MDU starts later and runs longest, into early November. A student can apply to all three and take the first acceptable seat — but beware of paying a non-refundable fee to a KUK or CRSU college and then being allotted by MDU. Each university's refund rule applies separately.

Our reading of the three prospectuses and MDU's notice page on 29 Sep 2026. MDU had posted no revised 1st-round reporting dates when we checked.
The practical upshot: if you missed every online form in 2026, MDU's physical counselling on 28 October is the one door that takes fresh applicants. The prospectus says candidates "have to apply afresh" and pay Rs 2,000 to the Principal of the college concerned. KUK and CRSU restrict their physical rounds to candidates already registered on their portals.

Where other pages get this wrong
KUK's 2026 B.Ed applications closed on 12 August 2026 (23:55), and CRSU's ran from 10 August to 10 September 2026.
Commonly published instead: "KUK B.Ed last date 9 August" and "CRSU window 29 July to 31 August" — both printed on our own MDU B.Ed notice board until this guide.
Both dates are in the universities' own 2026 prospectuses: KUK's schedule on p. 18 and CRSU's schedule notice on its admission portal.
Conflicts inside the CRSU prospectus
- "Classes will start ... 22-09-2026" is printed — the same day as CRSU's 2nd merit list.
- The last date of admission is printed both as 01.10.2026 (to keep 240 teaching days under NCTE rules) and as 03.10.2026, "the last date of physical counselling".
- The relaxed B.E./B.Tech minimum is printed as 52.55%; MDU and KUK print 52.25%, which is 55% less 5%.
CRSU also offers programmes the other two list differently: B.Ed Special Education at Rs 82,500 a year, BASLP at Rs 82,500, D.P.Ed at Rs 25,800, B.P.Ed at Rs 44,000 and B.P.E.S at Rs 25,000 in self-financing colleges.

From the three prospectuses. The concession categories differ: MDU and KUK give it to SC, BC and Differently Abled candidates of Haryana; CRSU adds DSC and girls/women of Haryana. Relaxation of the minimum marks: MDU and CRSU print it for SC/ST/Blind/Visually and Differently Abled candidates of Haryana only; KUK prints it for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates. None extends it to BC.
Two practical points follow. First, three applications cost a general-category candidate Rs 3,900 in 2026 (our sum), and a concession-category candidate Rs 1,350 (our sum) — small against a year's tuition of Rs 44,000. Second, the forms ask for the same things: marks of every year of the degree, a CGPA conversion where relevant, category and residence certificates, and a list of colleges in order of preference. Prepare the set once in June, and the three July-to-September windows become a matter of uploading. The college lists are the slow part — read each university's appendix and list only colleges you would really join, because a seat you do not take can still cost you a place in the next round.

Which one should you apply to in 2027?
- Apply to all three that cover your area. There is no test to prepare for, the fees are modest and the calendars run one after another.
- Watch KUK in July. It opens first (13 July in 2026) and closes first; missing it cannot be fixed later.

- BCA or MCA graduate? MDU names your degree explicitly (55%); check the KUK and CRSU eligibility paragraphs before you pay.

They are for students who already hold a seat, not for admission: there is no admission test to practise for.
Is there an entrance test for B.Ed in Haryana?
Not at MDU, KUK or CRSU. All three admit on the merit of the qualifying degree percentage.
Can I apply to MDU, KUK and CRSU B.Ed at the same time?
Yes. They are separate admissions with separate forms and fees, and their 2026 windows only partly overlapped.

Self-financing tuition is Rs 44,000 a year at all three. MDU's application fee is lower: Rs 1,000 against Rs 1,400 at KUK and Rs 1,500 at CRSU.

By our sums, CRSU with about 16,550, then KUK with 12,630 and MDU with 10,399.
Can I still get a B.Ed seat in Haryana in October 2026?
At MDU, yes: rounds 2 and 3 on 5 and 16 October for registered applicants, and a physical round on 28 October that accepts fresh applications.
How do KUK and MDU break ties?
MDU ranks the older candidate first. KUK uses age, then 12th-class marks, then 10th-class marks.
