IBPS released the Clerk (CRP CSA-XVI) notification on 1 August 2026 for 11,403 Customer Service Associate vacancies across 11 participating public sector banks; the application window, originally set to close 21 August, was extended to 28 August 2026 per an IBPS notice issued 21 August.

Per the official IBPS 2026-27 exam calendar, the IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination is scheduled for 10 and 11 October 2026, with the Mains Examination to follow on 27 December 2026; candidates are advised these remain tentative dates pending final confirmation on ibps.in.

This is the CRP CSA-XVI cycle (16th round of the Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates), which follows the now-standard IBPS annual timeline of an August-September application window ahead of an October prelims sitting.

IBPS has fixed the Clerk (CRP CSA-XVI) schedule in its tentative calendar for 2026-27: the preliminary examination falls on 10 and 11 October 2026 and the main examination on 27 December 2026. The calendar is tentative and dates can be revised.

The detailed CRP CSA-XVI advertisement, with state-wise vacancies and the application window, is not out as of 11 July 2026. It is expected around August 2026 on ibps.in, covering clerical cadre posts in 11 participating public sector banks.

From this cycle IBPS designates the post as Customer Service Associate (CSA) rather than Clerk. Selection stays a two-stage process, prelims of 100 marks in 60 minutes followed by mains, with no interview, so the mains score alone decides the final merit.

While the Clerk notification is awaited, two other IBPS cycles are open now: CRP PO/MT-XVI with a reported 6,715 vacancies and CRP SPL-XVI with 745 vacancies, both accepting online applications until 21 July 2026.

11 public sector banks are participating in IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026. The exam is conducted in 13 regional languages along with English and Hindi.

Selection is via Prelims and Mains; no interview stage. Final merit is based on Mains marks alone, with language proficiency in the state's official language being mandatory.
