CS Executive Registration 2026: Eligibility, Fee and Cut-off Dates

Checked 30 September 2026. From the ICSI fee schedule (page updated 29.09.2026), the 2026 cut-off calendar (27.07.2026), the December 2026 announcement (25.08.2026), the TDOP announcement (07.01.2026) and the Company Secretaries Regulations. Fees and dates can change by ICSI notice; check the schedule before you pay.

Registering for the CS Executive Programme is a separate step from enrolling for an examination, and the difference matters. Registration admits you to the stage for five years and costs Rs 18,900 if you passed CSEET or the old Foundation, or Rs 23,900 by direct admission. Enrolment is the per-session exam form, at Rs 1,500 per group. How early you register decides the first session you can sit, and ICSI applies four fixed cut-offs. Since 2025 there are also two things to finish before the exam form opens to you: the pre-exam test and the three-day orientation programme (TDOP). ProSyllabus is an independent study site. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI); every rule below is quoted or summarised from ICSI's published documents, and ICSI decides every individual case.

Who can register

There are two routes, and ICSI's documents describe them separately. The CSEET route: the Regulations require a pass in the senior secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent, plus CSEET or an exemption from it. A CSEET result stays usable for registration for one year. Passing CSEET is covered in our CSEET passing-marks guide. Direct admission is for those exempt from CSEET: graduates and postgraduates, ICAI Intermediate passes, ICMAI Final passes, and students of a five-year integrated programme who have passed the sixth semester. Students appearing in the final year or final semester of a degree, or in the sixth semester of an integrated programme, can register provisionally (ICSI fee schedule and course slides). Direct admission does not bring any paper exemption, except for LLB and CMA Final holders; see our exemptions guide.

Rs 18,900 or Rs 18,400? Both appear on ICSI documents

  • ICSI fee schedule: Rs 18,900 (CSEET or Foundation) and Rs 23,900 (direct admission), including the optional Rs 500 journal subscription.
  • ICSI course slides: Rs 18,400 and Rs 23,400.
  • Our reading: the Rs 500 difference is exactly the optional journal. The fee schedule is the more detailed document and itemises it, so we print its figures and show the journal as optional.

Where other pages get this wrong

All direct admissions pay Rs 23,900, not only CMA Final holders, and the extra Rs 5,000 is the CSEET exemption fee.

Commonly published instead: Some pages, including an earlier version of our own notice board, give Rs 18,900 for graduates and Rs 23,900 for ICMAI Final holders, and describe the difference as "additional exemption fees" for CMA.

ICSI's fee schedule puts graduates, postgraduates, ICAI Intermediate, ICMAI Final and integrated-programme students in one direct-admission column at Rs 23,900. Paper exemptions for CMA are a different, per-paper fee of Rs 1,000.

The four registration cut-offs

ICSI accepts registrations all year, but a registration counts for a session only if it is accepted by the cut-off for that session. The cut-offs are fixed and, per the 2026 calendar, do not move when they fall on a holiday.

Registration accepted byYou can sit

31 JulyOne group in December of the same year

What that means today (our reading). The December 2026 cut-offs have passed. A registration accepted by 30 November 2026 lets you sit both groups in June 2027; one accepted by 31 January 2027 lets you sit one group in June 2027 (that date follows ICSI's standing rule; the 2027 calendar was not yet published on 30 September 2026).

Which session can I sit if I register on a given date?

Enter the date ICSI accepts (or will accept) your Executive registration. The tool applies ICSI's four registration cut-offs, the TDOP rule and the five-year validity. Enrolment windows are shown as they ran in 2026; ICSI sets them each session.

Before the exam form: pre-exam test and orientation

RequirementWhoDeadline
Online pre-exam testEvery Syllabus 2022 Executive student, including those who switched over from 2017Passed by 5:30 PM one working day before the enrolment cut-off (for December 2026: 24 September, or 9 October with late fee)
Three Days Orientation Programme (TDOP)Students registered from 1 February 2025Before enrolment; students registering from 1 January 2026 must complete it within 3 months of registration
One Day Orientation Programme (ODOP) or TDOPStudents registered between 1 June 2019 and 31 January 2025Before enrolment

Sources: ICSI December 2026 announcement (25.08.2026); ICSI TDOP announcement (07.01.2026); ICSI 2026 cut-off calendar. The pre-exam test fee (Rs 1,000) and the TDOP fee (Rs 2,500) are already inside the registration fee.

The two TDOP documents overlap rather than conflict: the December 2026 announcement makes TDOP a condition of enrolment for everyone registered from 1 February 2025, and the January 2026 announcement adds a three-month deadline for those registering from 1 January 2026. ICSI tells students to book a TDOP batch through their nearest regional office or chapter early rather than waiting for the deadline.

Registration de novo within 5 years of expiryRs 3,000

Sources: ICSI fee schedule (examination fee effective from the December 2024 session) and the December 2026 announcement. The fee schedule says "Lumpsum" against the late fee.

Where other pages get this wrong

The Rs 250 late fee on the exam form is a lump sum, not Rs 250 per group.

Commonly published instead: Some pages, including an earlier version of our own notice board, say the late fee is Rs 250 "per group".

ICSI's fee schedule lists "Late Fee for submission of Examination Form 250 Lumpsum". Changes of centre, group or medium are the items charged per change.

Validity, de novo and concessions

An Executive registration is valid for five years from the month in which it is accepted (Regulation 21). If it expires before you finish, you can seek registration de novo: Rs 2,000 within two years of expiry, Rs 3,000 within five. ICSI's FAQ says renewal only extends validity; your syllabus, group passes and exemptions already granted stay as they are. For December 2026, de novo had to be done in time to enrol by 10 October 2026. After passing the Executive stage, Professional Programme registration is a separate Rs 20,000 (fee schedule).

ICSI lists concessions on the Executive registration fee, among them 50% for SC/ST students, registration fee only for physically handicapped students, and 50% at Executive registration for students with an EWS certificate and family income up to Rs 3 lakh, plus categories for defence personnel and their wards, several regions and districts. The schedule is the authority on who qualifies and on which fee heads; check it before you pay.

What is the CS Executive registration fee?

Who can register for CS Executive without CSEET?

Graduates and postgraduates, ICAI Intermediate passes, ICMAI Final passes, and five-year integrated-programme students who passed the sixth semester. Final-year degree students and sixth-semester integrated students can register provisionally.

What is the last date to register for CS Executive June 2027?

30 November 2026 to sit both groups. By ICSI's standing rule, 31 January 2027 for one group.

Five years from the month it is accepted. After that it can be renewed by registration de novo for Rs 2,000 within two years or Rs 3,000 within five.

Rs 1,500 per group per session, so Rs 3,000 for both groups. Late fee is Rs 250 as a lump sum.

Is there a fee concession for SC/ST or EWS students?

Yes. ICSI lists 50% for SC/ST at registration and 50% at Executive registration for EWS students with family income up to Rs 3 lakh, among other categories; the fee schedule sets the details.
