Checked 30 September 2026. From ICSI result press releases, June 2022 to December 2025. The June 2026 figures are reported by a news site; ICSI's press-release list had no June 2026 release on 30 September 2026. The next result is due on ICSI's standing date of 25 February.
ICSI announces the CS results twice a year, on 25 February for the December session and 25 August for June, and the press release prints a pass percentage for each Executive group. Put side by side, the releases show one clear pattern: under Syllabus 2022, Group 1 has passed between 6.92% and 18.03% in ICSI's releases, and has trailed Group 2 in every session. This guide collects every figure since June 2022, marks the one session we could not confirm from ICSI, compares the old and new syllabus in the three sessions both ran, and says plainly what these percentages do not tell you. The releases also name toppers; this page carries percentages only. ProSyllabus is an independent study site. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI); every rule below is quoted or summarised from ICSI's published documents, and ICSI decides every individual case.

June 2026: reported by Taxguru; ICSI's result announcement of 21.08.2026 confirms the declaration date and time (25 August 2026, 2 PM) but carries no percentages. What the Syllabus 2022 series shows
Group 1 is the harder wall, every time. In all six Syllabus 2022 sessions, including the reported June 2026 figures, Group 1's pass percentage is below Group 2's. The gap was smallest at the debut (6.92% against 7.40%, December 2023) and widest in June 2024 (8.15% against 20.87%) and June 2025 (14.57% against 24.82%).
Group 1 roughly doubled in its first two years, then flattened. From 6.92% and 8.15% in the first two sessions it moved to 15.91%, 14.57% and 18.03% in the next three, and 17.41% is reported for June 2026. By our arithmetic, the average of the five sessions in ICSI releases is 12.72% for Group 1 and 19.02% for Group 2. A simple average of session percentages is not a pass rate for students, because the number of candidates differs from session to session and is not published.
A June 2026 dip is small and unconfirmed. The reported June 2026 figures (17.41% and 22.19%) are slightly below December 2025 (18.03% and 22.26%). Until ICSI publishes its own release, treat them as indicative.
Session to session, in percentage points
| Session | Group 1 | Group 1 change (ours) | Group 2 | Group 2 change (ours) | Group 2 minus Group 1 (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| June 2024 | 8.15% | +1.23 points | 20.87% | +13.47 points | 12.72 points |
| December 2024 | 15.91% | +7.76 points | 19.74% | -1.13 points | 3.83 points |
| June 2025 | 14.57% | -1.34 points | 24.82% | +5.08 points | 10.25 points |
| December 2025 | 18.03% | +3.46 points | 22.26% | -2.56 points | 4.23 points |
| June 2026 (reported) | 17.41% | -0.62 points | 22.19% | -0.07 points | 4.78 points |
Our arithmetic on the ICSI press-release figures (June 2026 on the reported figures). A change in points is the difference between two percentages, not a percentage change.
The table makes one thing plain: the two groups do not move together. In June 2024 Group 2 jumped by more than 13 points while Group 1 rose by just over 1; in December 2024 Group 1 nearly doubled while Group 2 slipped. Nothing in the releases explains why, so we do not guess.
Old syllabus against new, in the sessions both ran
For three sessions, December 2023 to December 2024, ICSI examined Syllabus 2017 and Syllabus 2022 students side by side and printed both sets of percentages. Module 1 of the old syllabus and Group 1 of the new are not the same set of papers, so this is a comparison of stages, not of identical exams.
| Session | Syllabus 2017 Module 1 | Syllabus 2022 Group 1 | Module 1 as a multiple of Group 1 (ours) | Syllabus 2017 Module 2 | Syllabus 2022 Group 2 | Module 2 as a multiple of Group 2 (ours) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| December 2023 | 15.63% | 6.92% | 2.26x | 11.47% | 7.40% | 1.55x |
| June 2024 | 22.71% | 8.15% | 2.79x | 30.41% | 20.87% | 1.46x |
| December 2024 | 28.64% | 15.91% | 1.80x | 27.52% | 19.74% | 1.39x |
ICSI press releases for December 2023, June 2024 and December 2024; the multiples are our arithmetic.
ICSI press releases. The old-syllabus cohort in these sessions was finishing a course it had started years earlier; the new-syllabus cohort was among the first to sit its papers.
Our reading. In the overlap, the old syllabus passed between 1.80 and 2.79 times the share the new one did in the first group, and between 1.39 and 1.55 times in the second. Two cautions. First, the cohorts were different: the 2017 students in 2024 were those still left on an outgoing syllabus, many of them on repeat attempts. Second, the numbers do not say whether the papers were harder; they say what share of those who sat passed. What they do show is that the new syllabus did not start easy.

What these percentages cannot tell you
Read the numbers with these limits
- No counts. ICSI's releases give percentages only. We cannot say how many students sat or passed, or whether a rise came from more passes or fewer candidates.
- No definition of the base. The releases do not say how a candidate sitting both groups is counted, or whether candidates with exempted papers are included in the group figure.
- Not your odds. A session percentage mixes first attempts, repeaters and students using exemptions. The pass rules, which decide your own result, are in our passing-marks guide.
- One session is reported only. June 2026 (17.41% and 22.19%) comes from a news report; we found no ICSI press release for it.

For comparison with the entrance stage, the CSEET results are in our CSEET pass-percentage guide. For the paper list that makes up each group, see our papers-and-groups guide.
When the next result comes
ICSI's 2026 calendar gives 25 February for December results and 25 August for June results, and every release in the table above was declared on the 25th. Our reading: the December 2026 result is due on 25 February 2027. For June 2026 ICSI issued e-mark sheets only, and the verification-of-marks window ran from 26 August to 15 September 2026.
What is the CS Executive pass percentage?
Under Syllabus 2022, ICSI's releases put Group 1 between 6.92% (December 2023) and 18.03% (December 2025), and Group 2 between 7.40% (December 2023) and 24.82% (June 2025). June 2026 is reported at 17.41% and 22.19%.
What was the CS Executive June 2026 pass percentage?
Reported by Taxguru as 17.41% for Group 1 and 22.19% for Group 2. We did not find an ICSI press release with these figures; ICSI confirmed only that results were declared on 25 August 2026 at 2 PM.
Which group is harder to pass in CS Executive?
By pass percentage, Group 1: it has been below Group 2 in every Syllabus 2022 session so far.
When is the CS Executive December 2026 result?
ICSI's standing date for December results is 25 February, so 25 February 2027 by our reading.
Did the old syllabus have higher pass rates?
In the three sessions both ran (December 2023 to December 2024), the 2017-syllabus module percentages were 1.39 to 2.79 times the 2022-syllabus group percentages, by our arithmetic. The cohorts were different, so this does not prove the papers were harder.
How many students pass CS Executive?
ICSI's press releases give percentages only, not counts of candidates who appeared or passed.
Does ICSI publish topper lists?
Yes, the press releases name toppers. This page deliberately reports percentages only.
