XLRI Jamshedpur has announced that XAT 2027 registration opens on 15 July 2026 on the official portal xatonline.in. The registration window stays open until 6 December 2026, giving candidates almost five months to apply for the exam.

XAT 2027 will be held on Sunday, 3 January 2027 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm as a computer-based test. The admit card is scheduled for download from 20 December 2026, which the official site marks as tentative.

As per the official XAT site, the test is conducted in 100+ test cities across India and the score is accepted by 250+ B-schools, including NIRF-ranked institutes and schools accredited by AACSB, AMBA-BGA and EQUIS. XAT remains XLRI's own admission route alongside CAT-accepting programmes.

Candidates should complete registration well before the 6 December 2026 cut-off and separately apply to each XAT-accepting B-school, since the XAT application and individual institute applications are distinct steps. All notices, fee details and the final exam-day advisory are published only on xatonline.in.

XLRI Jamshedpur declared the XAT 2026 result on January 16, 2026 at xatonline.in. Final admission offers for the 2026-28 batch are being sent out by end of May 2026.

XAT 2026 expected cutoff for XLRI PGDM-BM is around 95 percentile for male engineers; for PGDM-HRM the cutoff is approximately 93 percentile.

XLRI Personal Interviews were conducted in February-March 2026 at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Jamshedpur. The 2026 admission cycle also included Essay Writing along with PI.

XAT 2027 notification is expected in August 2026 on xatonline.in for the next cycle. XAT scores are accepted by 160+ B-schools including XLRI, XIMB, MICA, IMT, MDI and TAPMI.
