SBI's official careers page (advertisement CRPD/CR/2026-27/17) confirms Junior Associate (Clerk) recruitment for 9,766 vacancies, comprising 7,680 regular posts plus 2,086 backlog posts; online applications are open from August 11 to August 31, 2026 through the linked IBPS registration portal.

Alongside the regular drive, SBI opened a special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog clerical vacancies (advertisement CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16), with a separate application window running August 7 to August 27, 2026 on its own IBPS registration link, per the SBI careers portal.

The SBI Clerk 2026 Prelims exam is expected on September 26 and 27, 2026, with a single-day Mains exam tentatively scheduled for November 23, 2026; as with past cycles, Prelims marks will not count toward final selection, which rests solely on the Mains score.
