PRAGATII (Performance Rating of Applicants through Global Aptitude Test for Indian Institutes) remains the active, current name for what was formerly Ind-SAT — the Ministry of Education's online proctored entrance test (90 minutes; Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning) used to shortlist international students for Study in India scholarships.
Study in India — PRAGATII Exam pageFor the 2026-27 academic year, the Study in India Portal (which PRAGATII-linked scholarship applications go through) opened for registration on 1 January 2026, closed to new applications on 15 June 2026, and published selected-candidates' lists on 30 June 2026, with the fee-payment deadline of 21 July 2026. As of late August 2026 this cycle's application and fee-payment windows are both closed.
