CSAB Special Round 2 -- the final round filling vacant NIT, IIIT and GFTI seats using JEE Main ranks after JoSAA -- had its seat allotment result declared around 12 August 2026 on the official CSAB portal, with allotted candidates completing online reporting and Institute Admission Fee-II payment; these seats are now treated as final.

CSAB special round registration and choice filling for the NIT+ system opened 28 July 2026, covering 114 institutes, with a tentative pre-round vacant-seat matrix of about 4,850 NIT, 3,628 IIIT and 6,945 GFTI seats reported by Careers360 -- all filled using JEE Main 2026 ranks.

Expected, not yet released: JEE Main 2027's official notification and information bulletin have not been published. NTA is expected to open Session 1 registration around October-November 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in, with the exam itself typically held in January and April as in prior cycles.

JoSAA 2026 counselling, which uses JEE Main ranks for NIT, IIIT and GFTI seats, is in its closing stage. The Round 4 seat-acceptance deadline is 5 pm on July 13, 2026, the withdrawal window shuts at 5 pm on July 14, and the final Round 5 allotment follows on July 16.

NTA declared the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 result and final All India Ranks on April 20, 2026. Scorecards for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2A/2B (B.Arch/B.Planning) remain downloadable from the official JEE Main portal using application number and date of birth.

A record 26 candidates scored 100 percentile in the JEE Main 2026 final merit list, up from 12 after Session 1. Aarush Singhal of Chandigarh took All India Rank 1 with a perfect 300 out of 300 in the April Session 2 paper.

CSAB 2026 special and supernumerary rounds follow JoSAA for candidates left without a seat. Registration is reported to open on July 28, 2026 and close on August 3, 2026 at csab.nic.in, using the JEE Main 2026 application number. The official CSAB schedule is still pending, so treat these dates as tentative.

NTA has not yet issued any JEE Main 2027 notification, information bulletin or exam date. Based on past cycles the Session 1 bulletin and registration window are expected around October 2026, with the exam in January 2027. Watch the official public notices page rather than unofficial date lists.

NTA has released the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result and the official cutoff for JEE Advanced qualification on April 20, 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The General (UR/CRL) qualifying cutoff stands at 93.4123549 percentile, with category-wise cutoffs published alongside the result.

JEE Main 2026 EWS cutoff is 81.3209571 percentile and OBC-NCL cutoff is 80.9232583 percentile. Candidates clearing the category cutoff are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026, scheduled on May 17, 2026.

JoSAA 2026 counselling registration opens on June 2, 2026 after JEE Advanced 2026 result declaration. The schedule covers admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs through a unified portal at josaa.nic.in.

All India Rank lists for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 + 2 best-of have been finalised. Candidates should download their scorecards and category-wise rank certificates from the NTA portal before counselling begins.
