NTA declared the CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 result on August 29, 2026, for all five subjects, after the exam held July 17-18 across 224 cities. Of 1,87,739 registered candidates, 1,50,057 appeared; scorecards are available on csirnet.nta.nic.in using application number, registration number, or date of birth.
Free Press JournalBefore declaring the result, NTA opened the provisional CSIR NET June 2026 answer key on its website from August 16 to 18 for candidate challenges; responses reviewed by subject experts were used to finalise the keys before scores were released.
NewsXCSIR, UGC and DBT jointly announced in January 2026 that from the December 2026 cycle, the separate CSIR NET Life Sciences and DBT-BET exams will merge into one Joint CSIR-UGC-DBT JRF-NET exam, with qualifiers remaining eligible for JRF, assistant professor status, or PhD admission across the same three categories.
Adda247CSIR has not yet released the December 2026 CSIR NET notification. Based on last year's pattern, when the December 2025 session was notified around September 25, 2025, the next notification is expected on csirnet.nta.nic.in around September 2026, though no date is confirmed yet.

The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 computer-based test is scheduled for 17 and 18 July 2026, in two shifts each day (9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm), covering Chemical, Earth, Life, Mathematical and Physical Sciences for JRF, Assistant Professor and PhD admission eligibility.

The slip is hosted on csirnet.nta.nic.in and is downloaded with application number and password. NTA stresses it is not the admit card.
