CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Guide

1. Important Dates & Fees (Tentative)

2. Fellowship Amount & Eligibility
JRF Stipend: ₹31,000/month (Years 1-2) + HRA
SRF Stipend: ₹35,000/month (Years 3-5) + HRA
- Age Limit (JRF): Maximum 28 years (as of July 1, 2026). Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD/Females and 3 years for OBC-NCL.
- Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.
- Education: M.Sc. or equivalent with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
3. Single Paper Pattern (3 Hours)
The exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) divided into three parts. Part A is common to all 5 subjects.
Part A: 20 Qs (General Aptitude) - Attempt 15
Part B: 40-50 Qs (Subject Specific)
Part C: 60-75 Qs (Higher Order Analytical)
Negative Marking: 25% for every wrong answer (varies by subject).
