Bank of England Graduate Programme (Future Talent)
The Bank of England recruits graduates through its Future Talent programmes, which include the Graduate Development Programme, the Trainee Solicitor Development Programme and the Actuarial Development Programme. The Bank describes the Future Talent application process as an application form (with a CV upload and free-text questions about you and your motivation), then three assessed stages. Stage 1 is an online situational judgement test built on scenarios that reflect working life at the Bank; in the Bank's guidance for the test, each scenario has four options and you choose the one you would be most likely to do and the one you would be least likely to do, with no time limit. It measures how closely you align with the Bank's values. Stage 2 is a video interview: your responses are recorded and reviewed later, with a short thinking time before each answer, a set time limit and no re-recording. Stage 3 is a virtual assessment centre with one group exercise and one interview covering motivation, behaviour-based and analytical or technical questions. The Bank Behaviours are to act inclusively, drive growth and deliver outcomes. The Bank closed its 2026 recruitment round and says it will update its programme pages in autumn 2026, ahead of the 2027 round.
