Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, buying anything, or using any part of ProSyllabus, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refunds and Cancellations policy, and any rules shown on a specific feature before you use it. Where a term shown at the point of purchase differs from this page, the one shown at purchase governs that purchase.

2. Who may use ProSyllabus

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use ProSyllabus only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
• Give accurate details when you register, and keep them current.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal: do not share, sell, rent or transfer one, and do not create a second account to obtain free allowances again.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account, and must tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
• We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms, fraud, payment abuse, manipulation of rankings or free allowances, or conduct that harms other users.

3. What ProSyllabus offers, and the terms of each part

Different parts work differently and are paid for differently. These sub-sections are the terms of each; the money side is in section 7 and refunds in section 8.

3.1 Practice quizzes and mock tests

• Some quizzes are free within a monthly allowance; others need credits or a membership. The price in credits is always shown before you spend anything.
• A free attempt buys one play. Unlocking a quiz with credits, a bundle or a plan gives you that quiz permanently, including retakes; a free attempt does not.
• A quiz you unlocked stays unlocked even if you later cancel a membership or the price changes.
• Questions, options and their order may change as we correct and improve the bank. Certificates and leaderboard positions reflect the attempt as it was taken.
• Do not extract, republish, resell or bulk-download our questions, and do not use automated tools to attempt them. Leaderboards and certificates are meant to be earned.

3.2 AI quiz analysis, coach reports and Ask A Doubt

• These use third-party AI models. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and must not be relied on as the final word on a factual, academic, legal, medical, financial or career question. Check anything important against the official source.
• They depend on providers we do not control. A feature may be slow, queued, temporarily unavailable, or withdrawn.
• Doubts you ask are published unless you mark them private — to other students preparing for the same exam and on a public page of their own that search engines can index, always without your name. Do not put personal details, contact information, a photograph of yourself or anything confidential in a doubt. You can ask us to remove one at any time.
• Do not use these features to generate content that is unlawful, abusive or infringing, to attempt to cheat in a live examination, or to extract the underlying model.

3.3 Notebook Backup

• You keep ownership of your pages and notes. We store them privately for you and do not publish, sell or train on them; optional AI study is described in the Privacy Policy and is off until you turn it on.
• Upload only material you have the right to upload. Photographing an entire copyrighted textbook or another person’s private papers is not what this is for.
• Free and paid tiers have limits on notebooks, pages and storage window, shown in the product. Exceeding a limit stops new uploads; it does not delete what is already stored.
• Treat it as a backup, not the only copy. We take real care with your pages, but no storage is infallible and we cannot guarantee against loss.
• Printing and exporting your own notebooks as PDF stays available at every tier, including after a membership ends.

3.4 Revision kits, cheatsheets and other paid downloads

• We tried our best, and a kit may still contain mistakes. Every kit is built from the official syllabus, notifications and textbooks and checked before it is published — but it is a compressed summary written by people, with the help of AI tools, and an error, an omission or a figure that has since changed can get through. Use a kit alongside the official material, not instead of it; where they disagree, the official source wins.
• When a mistake is reported and confirmed, we correct the file. Buyers can download the corrected edition from the kit page at no charge. A mistake is corrected, not refunded — see section 8.
• A purchase gives one person a personal, non-transferable licence to read, download and print the file for their own preparation. It does not transfer ownership of the content, which stays ours.
• You may not sell, resell, rent, share, forward, upload or distribute a kit, in whole or in part, free or paid — including in a WhatsApp, Telegram or coaching group, on a website, a file-sharing or note-selling platform, or as printed copies for anyone else. You may not remove our name from it, rebrand it, or use it to make a competing product or to train an AI model.
• Downloads are recorded against your account. If a kit bought on your account is found shared or sold, we may suspend the account and withdraw its downloads without a refund, and we reserve our rights under the Copyright Act, 1957.
• Files are delivered through links that expire minutes after they are issued; you can download them again from the kit page while signed in to the account that bought them.
• A kit’s price can change, including as more copies sell. The price shown when you pay is the price you pay; a later change in either direction is not a reason for a refund or a further charge.
• A kit is study material about an exam. It is not an official publication of any examining body, it may cover a topic that does not appear in your paper, and it guarantees no score, rank or result.

3.5 Counselling and mentorship calls

• You are buying a fixed-length video call with an independent person at the price and length shown — on Google Meet or WhatsApp video, whichever the booking states. They are experienced individuals sharing their own perspective; they are not our employees, and they are not licensed advisers.
• It is guidance, not a guarantee. No counsellor can promise a rank, a seat, a job or an admission, and any such promise is not authorised by us. It is also not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
• Confirm-or-refund: if your slot is not confirmed within the window stated at purchase, the payment is refunded to you automatically. That window is frozen at purchase, so a later change does not shorten what you were sold.
• You may cancel for a full refund at any time before a slot is confirmed, and free of charge up to the stated number of hours before a confirmed call. See section 8.
• Be on time, be civil, and do not record the call without the other person’s consent. We do not record calls. Abuse, harassment or attempts to take the relationship off-platform to avoid our protections may end the booking without refund.

3.6 Certifications

• A ProSyllabus certification is a set of our own topic quizzes and the certificate records that you passed them. It is not an accredited qualification and is not endorsed by any university, government body or the vendor of any product it covers.
• Any number of free attempts stated on a track is per track, counted as completed attempts, and is a promotional benefit rather than an entitlement.

3.7 The daily check-in and study log

• Your notes are private to you; see the Privacy Policy. Streaks and public statistics reflect days logged, which you can edit within a limited window.
• ProSyllabus is not a health or crisis service. Where we show a helpline in response to words in a note, that is information, not care. In an emergency, call Tele-MANAS on 14416 or your local emergency number.

3.8 Notes, blogs, news, guides and syllabi

• These are independent study material prepared by us. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any examination body, government department, board, university or company whose exam or product we write about. Names and exam titles are used only to identify what the material is about.
• Dates, vacancies, fees, eligibility and patterns change by notification. The official notification of the conducting body is always the authority; see section 10.

3.9 Public profiles, leaderboards and shared links

• Anything you publish — your profile, a shared certificate or result link, a public doubt — can be seen and copied by others. Publish accordingly.
• Your public profile must not impersonate anyone, carry another person’s photo, or link to unlawful material. We may remove a profile, a link or a username that does.

4. Educators, counsellors and contributors

• Applications to teach, mentor or contribute are reviewed, and approval is at our discretion. Credentials must be accurate and evidenced; anything false means immediate removal.
• Approval guarantees no earnings, bookings or student volume.
• Conduct standards are in our Code of Conduct and apply to every interaction with a student.
• By uploading content you keep ownership of it and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on ProSyllabus for as long as it is published here. You confirm it is yours to license.
• Payment terms, revenue share and payout schedules are agreed separately. Earnings for a booking are frozen at the moment it is paid for.

5. Acceptable use

Use ProSyllabus for lawful study. Do not:

• harass, bully, threaten or impersonate anyone;
• post or upload unlawful, hateful, explicit, defamatory or infringing material;
• scrape, crawl, bulk-download, mirror or resell our questions, notes, guides, kits or data, or use them to train a model;
• share an account, resell access, or evade free allowances, prices or geographic restrictions;
• interfere with the platform — probing, overloading, circumventing paywalls, reverse-engineering, or automating attempts;
• spam other users, or use anything here to advertise a competing service.

6. Intellectual property

The platform, its software, design, question banks, notes, guides, kits and brand are owned by or licensed to POINTERS and protected by law. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for your own preparation while your account is in good standing, and nothing more.

Your own content — your notebook pages, notes, answers and doubts — stays yours. We use it to run the features you asked for, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Credits, prices and memberships

• Payments are processed by third-party gateways; inside our apps, purchases of digital items go through Apple or Google under their rules.
• Prices include applicable Indian taxes unless stated otherwise, and a GST invoice is available on request.
• Where the law requires it for a purchase made in the app store, that store’s refund process applies in addition to ours.

7.1 Credits, pricing and free allowances

Paid features on ProSyllabus are accessed using credits (also shown as “coins”). ProSyllabus reserves the right to introduce, increase, reduce or withdraw pricing at any time, including:

• the number of credits required for any quiz, mock test, AI analysis, doubt or other paid feature — these amounts differ between exams and content types, and are always displayed before you spend credits
• the price, size and composition of credit packs, and any bonus credits included with them
• the price of any one-time purchase offered alongside a specific unlock, and whether such an option is offered at all
• the number of free quizzes, doubts or other free allowances available to an account, which may be changed, reduced or withdrawn
• the features, duration and price of membership plans, including features moving between free and paid tiers

Such changes take effect prospectively. Credits already purchased and credited to your account remain in your account and are not withdrawn or reduced when pricing changes; however, the number of credits required for a given feature may be higher or lower than when you purchased them, so the quantity of any feature that a given credit balance can access may go up or down. Free allowances are a promotional benefit rather than a purchased entitlement and may change at any time. Where we make a change that materially reduces what a paid membership already bought, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users.

Credits do not expire. Credits purchased or granted to your account remain available until you spend them, for as long as your account remains open. Nothing in this section permits us to expire, reduce or withdraw a credit balance you already hold.

Currency and pricing across countries. Credit packs and one-time purchases are offered at the same price to all users regardless of country. All amounts are charged in Indian Rupees (INR), including for buyers outside India, and the price shown to you at checkout is the price charged. Where an approximate figure in another currency is displayed alongside the rupee price, it is an estimate shown for readability only; the actual conversion rate and any foreign-exchange or cross-border charges are set by your card issuer or bank, not by ProSyllabus. Separately, the number of credits needed to unlock a given exam’s content varies by exam, and is always shown before you spend credits.

Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not redeemable for money except where required by applicable law.

7.2 Memberships and auto-renewal

• A membership is a recurring monthly subscription. By subscribing you authorise a mandate that charges the stated amount each billing month until you cancel.
• Cancel any time, from the plan page. Cancellation stops the next charge; your benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate a part-used month.
• Monthly allowances (quizzes, doubts, notebook pages and so on) reset each billing cycle and do not roll over.
• A quiz unlocked using a plan allowance stays unlocked permanently, including after the membership ends.
• Upgrading starts a new, dearer subscription and retires the old one at the end of its cycle; you are never charged twice for the same month and nothing already paid for is taken away.
• A price change applies to new subscriptions. Existing subscribers continue at the amount they signed up for until they change plan or resubscribe.

8. Cancellations and refunds

The full rules, including how to ask and what to include, are on Refunds and Cancellations. In summary:

• Money taken but nothing delivered — a failed, duplicate or unrecognised payment, credits that never arrived, a file that never downloaded: full refund, always. Tell us and we fix it.
• Counselling: full refund automatically if a slot is not confirmed within the promised window; full refund if you cancel before a slot is confirmed; free cancellation up to the stated hours before a confirmed call; after that a human reviews it.
• Credits are not refundable to money, spent or unspent. They are delivered to your account the instant the payment succeeds, they never expire, and we never withdraw a balance you hold — so a pack bought by mistake is a balance waiting for you, not money lost.
• Quiz, mock-test and bundle unlocks: delivered instantly and permanently, and not refundable — except where the content was faulty, in which case we correct it and put the credits back in your balance.
• Revision kits and other downloads: no refund once bought — not for a change of mind, a mistake found in the kit, a postponed or cancelled exam, or a result. Page one of every kit is free to read in full before you pay, precisely so you can judge it first. A mistake is corrected in the file; a corrupt file is replaced. Only a payment that delivered nothing at all is refunded.
• Memberships: cancel any time to stop the next charge; the month you are in is not refunded and unused allowance is never paid out. A charge taken after you cancelled is refunded in full.
• Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 7–10 business days of approval.

Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Please write to us before raising a chargeback — almost everything is faster to fix directly, and a chargeback freezes the account while the bank investigates.

9. AI-generated content

Parts of ProSyllabus are produced with the help of AI — explanations, reports, answers to doubts, and some practice questions, which are checked before they are published. AI output is probabilistic: it can be confidently wrong, can miss a recent change, and can misread handwriting or a photograph. You must not rely on it alone for any decision that matters, and you must not present it as professional advice or submit it as your own work where that is prohibited. We are not liable for a decision taken on the strength of an AI answer without checking it.

10. Accuracy, errors and corrections

We try hard to get this right. Questions are written and then independently checked before they go live, facts on exam pages are traced back to the official notification, and we correct things the moment we learn of them. Even so, mistakes get through, and some are on the site right now. An answer key can be wrong. A syllabus can be out of date within a week of a board changing it. A date, a fee, a vacancy count or an eligibility rule can be stale. An explanation can be unclear or simply incorrect.

So all content on ProSyllabus — questions, notes, guides, kits, syllabi, dates and AI output — is provided for practice and general information only, without any warranty of accuracy or completeness. For anything that decides your exam, the official notification of the conducting body is the authority, and you should check it there. We are not liable for a loss arising from reliance on our content, and no examination result is guaranteed.

Found a mistake? Please tell us — contact@prosyllabus.com with a link or a screenshot. We read every report and we would rather hear it than not. If you paid credits for a quiz or mock test that turns out to be faulty, say so and we will correct it and put the credits back. A mistake in a revision kit is corrected in the file, which you can download again at no charge.

11. Availability and changes to the service

ProSyllabus is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service: features depend on third parties, and maintenance, outages and provider failures happen. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw a feature. Where a change materially reduces something you have already paid for, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you and to put it right.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, POINTERS, its proprietor, staff and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost opportunity, lost marks, missed admissions, lost profits or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ₹5,000, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for your rights as a consumer under Indian law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless POINTERS from claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the platform, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of anyone else’s rights — including anything you upload or publish here.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, India.

Please write to us first. Almost everything — a wrong charge, a missing unlock, a bad question, a call that did not happen — is settled by email in a day.

15. Changes to these terms, and termination

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when, and continued use after a change means acceptance. You may stop using ProSyllabus and delete your account at any time at /account-remove. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms; where we do, credits you hold and unlocks you have bought are not forfeited unless the breach was fraud or payment abuse.
