Checked 29 September 2026. Round I, CAP 2026-27, read from the LLB 3 Yrs CAP portal on 29 September 2026. Later rounds closed lower. The 2027 cut-offs will differ.
In the first CAP round of 2026, Government Law College, Mumbai closed at the 99.72 percentile for Maharashtra open seats — merit number 175 — and ILS Law College, Pune at 99.25 (merit number 366). Every other college in this list closed lower, down to the low 80s at colleges outside Mumbai and Pune. These figures come from the CET Cell's own cut-off pages for LLB 3-year CAP 2026-27. They are Round I only: Rounds II and III and the institute-level round admitted students further down the list. Use them to shortlist, not to rule a college out.

How to read the cut-off list
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Percentile | Your normalised CET score. The list prints seven decimals; we round to two. |
| Merit number (MH / OMS) | Your position in the Maharashtra or All India merit list. The closing merit number is the last candidate allotted in that list. |
| MS | Maharashtra State seats — for Maharashtra candidates |
| OMS | Outside Maharashtra State (All India) seats — for all-India candidates, open category only |
| General / Female | Columns in the list: a female candidate is considered on both |
| Seat type | Government, aided, un-aided or minority — one college can have two lists (e.g. aided and un-aided) |

Closing percentile (merit number in brackets), Round I, LLB 3 Yrs CAP 2026-27, read 29 September 2026. Minority colleges fill most seats from their own minority quota, so their Maharashtra category columns are empty. The female column is the Open female list.
Four patterns in the numbers
1. Two colleges sit apart
GLC Mumbai (99.72) and ILS Pune (99.25) are the only two above 99, and in both the Open female list closed no lower than the general list. Between them they took students from the top ~370 of a Maharashtra merit list that ran past merit number 40,900 in Round I (our reading of the highest merit number printed).
2. Mumbai and Pune cluster between 95 and 99
K C Law College, Navalmal Firodia, Siddharth, Lala Lajpatrai, Shankarrao Chavan, Dr. Ambedkar (Wadala), Modern, Rizvi and Shivaji Maratha all closed between the 95th and 98.5th percentile for open seats. Outside Mumbai and Pune the range drops: Nagpur 85–92, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar 90, Kolhapur 85, Nashik 80.
3. Very low category closings are thin pools, not easy seats
Some reserved-category columns closed very low — EWS at 3.13 at Modern Law College, 2.02 at Shahaji. That is where the last applicant in that category happened to be, not a benchmark: it means few EWS candidates listed that college. A reserved candidate is also considered on the Open list, so the open closing percentile is the harder, more useful number to plan against.
4. All India seats are few and close high at the top
The OMS list is small: GLC's OMS seat closed at OMS merit number 56 (99.42), ILS at 95 (99.08). Below the top colleges the OMS closings scatter widely because a handful of seats meet a handful of applicants.
Find the colleges that closed below your percentile
Where did Round I 2026 close below your percentile?
Enter your MAH LLB 3-year CET percentile and choose the list you compete in. The finder compares it with the closing percentile of each college's first CAP round in 2026.
Round I, CAP 2026-27, from the LLB 3 Yrs CAP portal's cut-off pages (read 29 Sep 2026), rounded to two decimals. A reserved or female candidate is also considered on the Open General list, so check both. Later rounds and the institute-level round went further down the merit list, and a new year's closing percentile will differ. A dash means no seat was allotted in that list in Round I.
After Round I
Round I is the hardest round to get into and the least final. In 2026 the CET Cell discontinued auto-freeze, so even a first-preference allotment could be taken on Betterment and moved up in Rounds II and III; seats freed that way went further down the list. After Round III the CAP portal showed vacancies and opened an institute-level round (27–29 September 2026), with 7 October 2026 as the last date for admissions. The CAP guide in this series walks through each step.
Where other pages get this wrong
The Round I closing percentile is where the first allotment ended, not the lowest percentile at which a college admitted anyone in 2026.
Commonly published instead: "GLC Mumbai cut-off is 99.7 percentile, so below that you cannot get GLC."
Rounds II and III reallocated seats given up through betterment and non-reporting; the CET Cell publishes separate cut-offs per round.
Practise it, don't just read it
Every percentile point near the top is a few hundred merit numbers. Practice where the marks are.
The ProSyllabus MAH LLB CET library has a quiz for each section of the paper — Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English and, for the 5-year paper, Basic Mathematics. The first one is free.
What is the cut-off for GLC Mumbai in MAH LLB 3 year CET 2026?
Round I closed at the 99.72 percentile (merit number 175) for Maharashtra open seats, 98.25 for OBC, 98.58 for SC and 94.21 for EWS; All India open closed at 99.42.
What is the ILS Pune LLB 3 year cut-off 2026?
Round I closed at the 99.25 percentile (merit number 366) for Maharashtra open seats and 99.08 for All India open seats.
What percentile is good for MAH LLB 3 year CET?
In 2026's first round, 95+ reached most of the Mumbai and Pune colleges in this list for open seats; 99+ was needed for GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune.
Is the cut-off in percentile or marks?
Percentile. The CAP lists print the closing percentile to seven decimals and the merit number.
Why are some EWS or OBC cut-offs so low?
Because few candidates of that category listed that college in Round I. It reflects a thin pool, not a guaranteed low bar next year.
Where can I see the official MAH LLB cut-off?
On the LLB 3 Yrs CAP portal (llb3cap26.mahacet.org) under round-wise cut-off, by university, college and division.
Does the cut-off go down in later rounds?
Usually, as seats freed by betterment and non-reporting are reallocated; each round has its own list.
