1. The New Academic Structure
IIMC now offers both 2-year MA Degrees and 1-year PG Diplomas. Selection is based on CUET PG 2026 scores.
MA Programs: Media Business Studies, Strategic Comm, New Media, Health Comm.
PG Diplomas: Hindi/English Journalism, Radio & TV, Advt & PR, Digital Media.
Regional Journalism: Admissions for Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, and Urdu journalism are handled via a separate IIMC-specific descriptive test (not CUET).
2. Selection Weightage (85:15 Rule)
For the 2026-27 session, the final merit list is calculated as follows:
Written Test (CUET PG): 85% Weightage
Personal Interview: 15% Weightage
- Written Pattern: 75 MCQs | 90 Minutes | CBT Mode.
- Marking: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect.
- Interview: Focuses on current affairs, media ethics, and creative thinking.
