Alerts and Updates for AISSEE

NTA had not released the AISSEE 2027 notification as of end-August 2026. Based on the pattern of the last several cycles, it is expected to open around September-October 2026 for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 across Sainik Schools nationwide; no official date is confirmed yet.

The AISSEE 2027 written exam is expected to be held in January 2027, with results likely to follow in February 2027, mirroring the AISSEE 2026 timeline; exact dates will only be confirmed once NTA issues the formal notification.

The AISSEE 2026 admission cycle is now fully closed: the exam was held on 18 January 2026, results were declared on 27 February 2026, and e-counselling concluded after six rounds by 31 May 2026, so prospective 2027 applicants are now simply waiting on the fresh notification.

AISSEE 2026 for the 2026-27 academic year was held on 18 January 2026. NTA declared the result, final answer keys and the lists of qualified and not-qualified candidates for Class VI and Class IX on 27 February 2026, and scorecards are available on the NTA Sainik School portal.

Admission is finalised through All India Sainik Schools Admission Counselling (AISSAC) 2026, whose notice was issued on 24 February 2026. Only merit-listed candidates could register; e-counselling runs on the dedicated Sainik School e-counselling portal, where students fill school preferences and seats are allotted on rank and category.

Vacant seats after the main rounds are being filled through spot admission at individual schools. For example, Sainik School Amaravathinagar published a spot admission merit list with candidates required to report by 15 June 2026, so check your preferred school's own website for leftover-seat notices.

For the next cycle, the AISSEE 2027 notification and application form are expected around September-October 2026, with the last date in November 2026 and the entrance exam expected in January 2027. These dates are tentative; NTA has not yet published the official AISSEE 2027 information bulletin.
