AISSEE 2026: Final Medical Fitness Guide
1. Visual Standards (Most Critical)
Vision issues are the #1 cause for rejection. Ensure your child meets the 'Standard II' criteria.
Distance Vision: Uncorrected 6/18 (both eyes); Correctable to 6/6.
Myopia: Not to exceed -1.5D (including astigmatism).
Hypermetropia: Not to exceed +2.5D.
Color Vision: Must be CP-III (Able to recognize primary colors).
Permanent Rejection: Squint, Night Blindness, and Color Blindness.

Height/Weight: Unlike NDA, there is no fixed minimum for Class 6/9 due to the tender age, BUT they check for age-appropriate BMI.
- Knock Knees: Knees must NOT touch when standing at attention with ankles apart.
- Flat Foot: A natural arch must be visible in the footprint.
- Spine: Must be straight. No Scoliosis (side-curve) or Kyphosis (hunchback).
- Speech: No stammering or significant speech impediments.
