Checked 29 September 2026. From ESIC HQ and Regional Office orders of May to December 2025 and the HQ SSO cut-off circular listed 01.06.2026. Regional orders other than Telangana’s were not retrieved, and more may have been issued since. The next LDCE had not been notified on 29 September 2026.
The ESIC LDCE held on 5 and 6 July 2025 did not produce a single merit list. It produced a string of promotion orders, issued by Headquarters for SSO and for PA in the units HQ controls, and by each Regional Office for the posts it controls, spread over the second half of 2025. This guide puts the dates in order, sets out how the select lists were built and the joining rule HQ imposed, counts the lists we could retrieve, gives the SSO cut-offs ESIC published in June 2026, and is plain about what we could not find: cut-offs for the other posts, all-India candidate numbers and all-India totals for the regional posts. We give counts only. We print no names and no roll numbers, although the orders themselves carry both. ProSyllabus is an independent study site, not part of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Every rule here is quoted or summarised from ESIC circulars and office orders; your Regional Office or Headquarters decides every individual case.
Where other pages get this wrong
There is no single all-post, all-India ESIC LDCE result, and the format varies by authority: HQ issued a separate SSO order for each vacancy year, one HQ order carried the PA lists for 2019 to 2025 in the units it covers, and RO Telangana put Assistant, UDC and LDC for all seven years in one order. ESIC has published cut-offs for SSO only, in a separate HQ circular listed on 01.06.2026; the qualifying benchmark is in the HQ letter of 22.11.2024.
Commonly published instead: A single "ESIC LDCE result PDF" with a cut-off per post, which some pages promise. We found no such document: the only cut-off table is the SSO one.
HQ Office Orders 281 to 287 of 26.12.2025 (SSO), HQ Office Order 43 of 19.11.2025 (PA, for HQ, D(M)D and Odisha units) and RO Telangana Office Order 134 of 07.11.2025 (Assistant, UDC, LDC) are separate orders by separate authorities.
HQ and RO orders of 2025, the HQ letter of 22.11.2024 and HQ Circular A-22/5/1/2025-E.I (official). Each SSO order states its own count; the total is our addition.

Dates from the orders (official); the day counts are our arithmetic. Orders we did not retrieve may have come earlier or later.
Read the chart as a record of the orders we found, not a forecast. All seven SSO orders carry the same date, 26.12.2025; regional orders other than Telangana’s may have come earlier or later. What it does show is that promotion took four to six months from the CBT, and SSO the longest.
How the select lists were built
From the HQ letter of 22.11.2024
- One sitting, seven lists. A single examination, with a separate select list for each vacancy year from 2019 to 2025 (Stenographer 2019 to 2021).
- Earliest year first. Candidates eligible on 01.01.2019 are considered for 2019; those on the 2019 list are excluded from later years; each later list considers those eligible on 1 January of that year, less those already selected.
- Regional and all-India cadres. HQ sends each Regional Office the combined merit list for its Assistant, UDC, LDC and Stenographer posts; SSO results go to Establishment E-I and PA results to E-II, as all-India cadres.
- An older SSO result. The letter says the SSO result for vacancies of 01.04.2018 to 31.12.2018 was then held in abeyance over court cases; HQ Office Order 169 of 29.05.2025 later promoted 12 officials for vacancy year 2018.

The joining rule of 7 November 2025
The Maharashtra circular of 03.11.2025 passes on an HQ direction of 31.10.2025. The declaration of LDCE-2025 results for LDC, UDC, Assistant and Stenographer, earlier fixed for 03.11.2025, was moved to 07.11.2025 "due to administrative reasons to maintain uniformity", and every region was to have its promotees join from that date, a uniform pan-India joining. The circular gives no other reason. It does not cover SSO or PA, whose orders came from HQ later.

Darkest: an all-India HQ order retrieved. Middle: an HQ order covering some units only (PA: HQ, D(M)D and Odisha). Light: one region (Telangana) only. Blank: nothing retrieved. A retrieved order that lists nobody for a year still counts as retrieved for that year.

What the promotion orders say
Conditions attached to the 2025 orders
- Pay level. SSO and PA promotions are to Level 7 of the pay matrix, Rs 44,900-1,42,400 (HQ OO 43 and 281 to 287).
- Pay fixation. The PA order gives the option of fixing pay under FR 22(I)(a)(i).
- Acceptance window. The PA order asked for acceptance by 21.11.2025, two days after it was issued.
- DPC or LDCE. HQ OO 281 lets an official who was already promoted to SSO through the DPC (seniority) route choose which mode to keep, and says the option once given is final.
- Subject to the courts. The SSO orders are made subject to the Supreme Court’s orders on reservation in promotion, referring to DoPT OM 36012/11/2016-Estt.(Res.I) of 15.06.2018, and to court and tribunal cases on seniority.
- Provisional, and where you are. HQ OO 287 calls the selection provisional, promotes officials at their present place of posting, asks for charge reports by 09.01.2026, and says seniority "will be fixed as per the extant rules".

SSO cut-offs, vacancy years 2019 to 2025
For SSO, ESIC has now published the cut-offs. HQ Circular No. A-22/5/1/2025-E.I, listed on the ESIC circulars database on 01.06.2026, follows Office Orders 281 to 287 with two annexures: the marks of the successful candidates (Paper I, II, III, total and Computer Skill Test) and the year-wise, category-wise cut-off marks. We reproduce the cut-offs exactly as printed. We do not reproduce Annexure 1, which lists names and roll numbers.
| Vacancy year | UR | SC | ST | PwBD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2019 | 181 | 145 | 106 | 116 |
| 2020 | 169 | 151 | 114 | 126 |
| 2021 | 199 | 184 | 143 | 155 |
| 2022 | 184 | 159 | 127 | 171 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 110 | 0 |
| 2024 | 197 | 191 | 164 | 116 |
| 2025 | 197 | 186 | 183 | 164 |
HQ Circular A-22/5/1/2025-E.I, Annexure 2 (official). Out of 300, on our check described below.
How to read the table
- Out of 300. Annexure 2 does not print the scale. On our check, its lowest UR, SC, ST and PwBD figures (169, 145, 106 and 116) are exactly the lowest totals among the successful candidates of those categories in Annexure 1 (PwBD candidates counted separately), whose totals are the sum of three papers of 100 each. So these are written totals out of 300, not percentages.
- Far above the benchmark. The qualifying benchmark of the HQ letter of 22.11.2024 is 40% for UR and 30% for SC, ST and PwBD, which is 120 and 90 out of 300 on our arithmetic. Every non-zero cut-off is above it; the UR cut-off ran from 169 (2020) to 199 (2021).
- No OBC column. Annexure 2 gives UR, SC, ST and PwBD only, and the scheme letter gave no OBC benchmark either. OBC candidates do appear among the successful candidates in Annexure 1, but the circular prints no separate OBC cut-off.
- 2023 prints 0 for UR, SC and PwBD. The circular does not explain it, while HQ Office Order 285 promoted 10 officials for vacancy year 2023. We do not read the 0 as a mark anyone could qualify with: the benchmark still applied.
- SSO only. We found no cut-off circular for Assistant/Head Clerk, UDC, LDC, PA or Stenographer.
HQ Circular A-22/5/1/2025-E.I (official); the scale check and the benchmark conversion are ours.
What we could not find
| Item | Status | Where it would be |
|---|---|---|
| Cut-offs for Assistant/Head Clerk, UDC, LDC, PA and Stenographer | Not found in the ESIC material we checked (SSO cut-offs are published, above) | Not in the promotion orders, which list officials by vacancy year |
| All-India number of distinct applicants or of candidates who sat | Not found | Regional schedules deal with their own centres only |
| All-India totals for Assistant, UDC, LDC and Stenographer | Not found | Regional Office orders; the format varies by region and cadre, and some regions issue separate orders for different posts |
| Question papers and answer keys | Not found in the ESIC material we checked | The Information Handout warns that disclosing or storing test content can lead to prosecution |
| The next LDCE | Not notified as of 29 September 2026 | An HQ scheme letter and Regional Office circulars |
The qualifying benchmark itself is published: the HQ letter of 22.11.2024 gives 40% in the written paper for UR candidates, 30% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, and 17 of 50 in the Computer Skill Test, with no separate OBC figure. It is a minimum, not a cut-off: selection within each year’s vacancies went by merit. For SSO the last-selected marks are now published (the table above); for the other five posts no document we found prints them. A cut-off figure for those posts that cites neither the scheme letter nor an ESIC order that lists marks is not from ESIC.
Where the documents disagree
| Point | The conflict | Our reading |
|---|---|---|
| Date on the Karnataka schedule circular | Headed 28.11.2024, but cites the HQ letter of 15.06.2025 and gives the July 2025 timings | The header date is wrong; the circular is from June 2025, before the revised plan of 25.06.2025. |
| Which revised action plan is final | J&K forwarded a revised plan dated 25.06.2025; the HQ plan on the ESIC site is dated 27.06.2025 and refers to letters of 15.06 and 26.06.2025 | The 27.06.2025 plan is the latest we found, and we use it throughout. |
| SSO skill-test reporting time | 8:00 am in the Karnataka schedule; 8:30 am in the HQ revised plans of 25.06 and 27.06.2025 | The Karnataka schedule follows the plan before its revision (it also puts the LDC, PA and Steno CST at 11 am, not 1 pm), so it was superseded. The test itself started at 9 am in both. |
| SSO cut-offs for 2023 | Annexure 2 of the HQ circular A-22/5/1/2025-E.I prints 0 for UR, SC and PwBD in vacancy year 2023 (ST: 110), yet HQ Office Order 285 promoted 10 officials for that year | The circular gives no reason. We print the figures as they stand and do not treat 0 as a qualifying mark. |
| Stenographer service condition | 2 years (Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat corrigendum) against 3 years (Maharashtra) | A real conflict between official circulars; see the eligibility guide. |
The next sitting
Nothing has been notified. The July 2025 sitting covered vacancy years 2019 to 2025 for SSO, Assistant/Head Clerk, UDC, LDC and PA, and 2019 to 2021 (vacancies up to 26.02.2021) for Stenographer, after a gap long enough that the Stenographer post’s regulations changed in the middle of it. If the next sitting follows the same model, it would start with an HQ scheme letter and Regional Office circulars calling applications, with a crucial date of 1 January of each vacancy year covered. Keep your service book entries, 12th-pass certificate and any shorthand certificate ready: the 2024 proformas asked for all of them, verified by the controlling officer.
When was the ESIC LDCE 2025 result declared?
Post by post. The PA results letter is dated 14.10.2025, the LDC, UDC, Assistant and Stenographer results were declared on 07.11.2025 on HQ’s instruction, the PA promotion order for HQ, D(M)D and Odisha units is dated 19.11.2025, and the SSO orders for vacancy years 2019 to 2025 are all dated 26.12.2025.
What is the ESIC LDCE cut-off?
For SSO, HQ Circular A-22/5/1/2025-E.I (listed 01.06.2026) gives year-wise cut-offs out of 300. UR: 181 (2019), 169 (2020), 199 (2021), 184 (2022), 0 as printed (2023), 197 (2024), 197 (2025). SC: 145, 151, 184, 159, 0, 191, 186. ST: 106, 114, 143, 127, 110, 164, 183. PwBD: 116, 126, 155, 171, 0, 116, 164. There is no OBC column. For the other posts we found no cut-off; the qualifying benchmark in the HQ letter of 22.11.2024 (40% UR, 30% SC/ST/PwBD, 17 of 50 in the Computer Skill Test) is a minimum, not a cut-off.
What was the joining date for ESIC LDCE promotees?
HQ directed a uniform pan-India joining from 07.11.2025 for LDC, UDC, Assistant and Stenographer promotees, according to the Maharashtra circular of 03.11.2025.
How many SSOs were promoted on the 2025 LDCE?
HQ Office Orders 281 to 287 of 26.12.2025 state 95 for vacancy year 2019, 76 for 2020, 50 for 2021, 94 for 2022, 10 for 2023, 35 for 2024 and 29 for 2025: 389 in all on our addition.
How many PAs were promoted?
HQ Office Order 43 of 19.11.2025 promoted 7 Stenographers to PA in the units it covers (HQ, D(M)D and Odisha): 1 for vacancy year 2022, 3 for 2024 and 3 for 2025.
I was already promoted to SSO through the DPC. What happens if I also passed the LDCE?
HQ Office Order 281 lets such officials choose either mode, and says the option once given is final.
Why is my promotion subject to court cases?
The SSO orders are made subject to the Supreme Court’s orders on reservation in promotion (DoPT OM of 15.06.2018) and to pending court and tribunal cases on seniority.
Where can I see my regional result?
In the office order your Regional Office issued. For example, RO Telangana issued Office Order 134 of 07.11.2025 for Assistant, UDC and LDC. Ask your establishment branch for yours.
When is the next ESIC LDCE?
Not notified as of 29 September 2026.
