Eligibility for BPSC TRE 4.0 is a grid, not a list: four levels, each with its own academic requirement, its own teaching qualification and — the part that catches people — its own qualifying test. Holding CTET does not help you at Classes 9-12, and holding STET does not help you at Classes 1-8.
This tool applies the rules level by level and tells you not just whether you can apply but what is blocking you, because "go and sit STET Paper II" is something you can act on and "ineligible" is not.

Six questions. This mirrors the rules on the eligibility page and is indicative only — verify against the advertisement before paying a fee.
What this tool will not do
Two rules we left out on purpose
- Number of attempts. Four publishers give three incompatible answers — five, three, three at primary only, and no limit. Applying any of them would produce a confident verdict resting on nothing.
- The age reference date. Sources give 1 August 2026, 1 August 2024 and 1 August 2023. A two-year swing decides eligibility outright for anyone near a limit, so the tool uses your stated age as-is and flags the issue.
- It also does not check the subject-to-degree mapping at Classes 11-12, where your post-graduate subject must match the post.
A tool that silently guesses at a disputed rule is worse than one that tells you the rule is disputed. Both of these are worth checking in the advertisement itself.

Can I apply for more than one level in BPSC TRE 4.0?
The levels have separate requirements and many candidates qualify for more than one — a graduate with B.Ed and both CTET Paper II and STET Paper I would meet the qualification rules for Classes 6-8 and 9-10. What the advertisement says about applying for multiple levels in one cycle is something to verify directly, as it is not consistently reported.
I have B.Ed but not STET. What can I apply for?
With a graduate degree, B.Ed and CTET or BTET Paper II you can apply for Classes 6-8. Classes 9-10 needs STET Paper I and Classes 11-12 needs STET Paper II plus a post-graduate degree. Classes 1-5 is closed to B.Ed holders entirely.
I have D.El.Ed and CTET Paper I. Which level is mine?
Classes 1-5, provided you meet the academic route — 10+2 with 50%, or 10+2 with 45% if your D.El.Ed was taken under the NCTE Regulations of 2002, or any graduate degree with D.El.Ed.
Does this checker guarantee I am eligible?
No, and you should not treat it as one. It applies the rules we could source, and it deliberately omits two disputed ones — permitted attempts and the age reference date. Verify against Advertisement 14/2026 before paying an application fee.
Why does the tool say I cannot apply anywhere?
Most often because of the qualifying test. CTET and BTET cover Classes 1-8 only; STET covers Classes 9-12. A candidate with the right degrees but the wrong test is blocked at every level until they sit the right one.
I am waiting for my STET 2026 result. Can I still apply?
Reportedly yes for Classes 9-10 and 11-12, through a prescribed self-declaration, with documents produced at verification. The deadline by which you must actually qualify is currently undefined, because it was tied to a preliminary stage that may no longer exist.
