Checked 25 September 2026. Nothing for 2027 had been announced on 25 September 2026. Every 2027 date here is a pattern from 2025 and 2026, not a forecast.
There is no AP PGECET 2027 notification yet. What the last two cycles show is a clear shift: the 2026 cycle ran earlier than 2025 — the notification about seven weeks earlier (4 February instead of 28 March) and the exam about five and a half weeks earlier (28–30 April instead of 6–8 June). If 2027 follows 2026, the application window will open in February and the exam will fall in late April, about seven months from now. This guide sets out both cycles, the fees, the syllabus structure of each paper and a plan.
Where other pages get this wrong
The AP PGECET 2026 application fee was ₹1,200 (OC), ₹900 (BC) and ₹700 (SC/ST).
Commonly published instead: "AP PGECET application fee: ₹800 General/OBC/EWS, ₹400 SC/ST" and "registration opened 9 February, closed 16 March".
The 2026 Important Dates page gives ₹1,200 / ₹900 / ₹700, the same as 2025. Applications opened on 6 February 2026; version 2 of the booklet moved the no-late-fee deadline from 16 to 20 March.

Two cycles side by side
| 2025 | 2026 | Step |
|---|---|---|
| 28 Mar 2025 | 4 Feb 2026 | Notification |
| 1 Apr 2025 | 6 Feb 2026 | Applications open |
| 30 Apr 2025 | 20 Mar 2026 | Last date without late fee |
| ₹1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 / 10,000, last slab to 26 May | ₹1,000 (23 Mar) / 2,000 (26 Mar) / 4,000 (28 Mar) / 10,000 (1 Apr) | Late fees (added to the application fee) |
| 25–27 May | 3 Apr | Corrections |
| 31 May | 15 Apr | Hall tickets |
| 6–8 Jun | 28–30 Apr | Exam |
| Key 11 Jun; objections to 14 Jun | Key 6 May; objections to 8 May (₹300 a question) | Preliminary key and objections |
| Booklet: results 24 Jun, ranks 25 Jun (declared 25 Jun, reported) | Booklet: 14 May (declared that day, reported); the live dates page still said "under progress" in September | Results |
| 26 Sep 2025 (after the 21 Jul press note's 6 Aug date was revised) | 4 Oct 2026 | First-phase allotment |
APPGECET-2025 and 2026 booklets, Important Dates pages, the 2025 press note and 2025/2026 admission notices.
Our count from the official dates.
Reading this for 2027. The exam and results moved earlier in 2026, but counselling did not: the first-phase allotment came on 4 October 2026, almost five months after results, and in 2025 on 26 September. So an early exam does not mean an early start to classes. Two cautions: version 2 of the 2026 booklet changed the application deadlines, and the Important Dates page still showed results as "under progress" in September — read the latest version of every document.
The syllabus, paper by paper
| Paper | Syllabus heads |
|---|---|
| CS — Computer Science & IT | Engineering mathematics (probability, set theory and algebra, linear algebra, numerical methods, calculus); combinatorics, graph theory, logic; digital logic; computer organisation; programming and data structures (C); algorithms; theory of computation; compilers; operating systems; databases; software engineering; networks; web technologies |
| EC — Electronics & Communication | Linear algebra, calculus, differential equations, complex variables, probability, numerical methods; networks; devices; digital circuits; signals and systems; control; communications; electromagnetics |
| EE — Electrical | Mathematics; circuits and fields; signals and systems; machines; control; measurements; analog and digital electronics; power electronics and drives; electric traction |
| ME — Mechanical | Mathematics; mechanics; strength of materials; theory of machines and vibrations; fluid mechanics; heat transfer; thermodynamics; turbomachinery; materials; casting, forming, joining; metrology; CIM; production planning; inventory; operations research |
| CE — Civil | Mathematics; structural engineering (mechanics, analysis, concrete, steel); geotechnical; water resources (fluid mechanics, hydrology, irrigation); environmental; transportation; surveying |
| PY — Pharmacy | No mathematics: pharmacognosy; pharmaceutical chemistry; pharmaceutics; pharmacology; clinical pharmacy; analysis and QA; forensic pharmacy (Pharmacy Act, Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules, NDPS Act, DPCO) |
| FT — Food Technology | No mathematics: food chemistry and nutrition; microbiology and biotechnology; food technology; food engineering; quality and standards |
| BT, CH, EI, GG, MT, NT | Mathematics plus the branch core; NT is largely materials and metallurgy, with nanomaterials in its last section |
APPGECET-2026 syllabi (13 PDFs). None prints any marks weightage. The CS, Pharmacy and Civil syllabi are identical to 2025 except for the year (our comparison).
Note what is not in the syllabi: any weighting. The claim that engineering mathematics is "20–25% of every paper" has no official basis, and Pharmacy and Food Technology have no mathematics section at all. The 2026 master question papers are public, with their preliminary keys, and are the best guide to how the syllabus is actually examined — though the question text in them is an image, so read them on screen.
Correcting the application
| Category | Items | How |
|---|---|---|
| Category 1 (by e-mail request, with documents) | Paper or branch, name, father's name, date of birth, signature, photograph, qualifying hall-ticket number, community | Request to helpdeskappgecet@apsche.org |
| Category 2 (by the candidate, one day only) | Qualifying exam, year, medium, place of study, mother's name, Aadhaar, local-area status, minority status, parental income, study details, SSC hall ticket, gender | Online on the correction day — 3 April in 2026 |
APPGECET-2026 corrections procedure.
The one correction day matters more than it looks. Local-area status, study details and parental income are Category 2 items — the very fields that decide which seats you can take and whether you get fee reimbursement — and in 2026 they could be changed on one day only. Check them the day you apply.
Using the 2026 master papers
The official site publishes the 2026 master question paper of every paper with its preliminary key, and the 2025 papers are still online under the 2025 path. They are the only official past papers, and they are worth using as full mocks: 120 questions in 120 minutes, scoring one for each right answer and nothing for a wrong one. Two practical notes: the question text in the PDFs is an image, so they cannot be searched, and we could not find a separately published final key, so a handful of preliminary answers may have changed after objections.
Official mock tests
The 2026 home page links one official mock test per paper on the exam vendor's platform. They reproduce the screen you will see on the day — the question palette, the marking of answered and reviewed questions, the timer — and they are worth taking at least once before the exam, separately from content practice. The booklet does not say what the fee is for a second paper ("shall pay the amount displayed"), so check the displayed amount before you add one.
A plan to a target date
Plan your hours to a target AP PGECET date
Choose your likely exam day and how many hours a week you can study. The planner counts the weeks left from today and splits your total hours across the paper.
The split is our suggestion: the papers are mostly branch core, with mathematics heads at the start of most syllabi. The dates are illustrative — late April (as in 2026), mid May, and early June (as in 2025). If you write PY or FT, move the mathematics hours to the core.

Practise it, don't just read it
A full 120-question mock every week in the last month is the single most useful habit for this paper.

When will AP PGECET 2027 notification come?
Not announced. The 2026 notification came on 4 February 2026 and the 2025 one on 28 March 2025.
When is the AP PGECET 2027 exam?
Not announced. It was held on 28–30 April 2026 and 6–8 June 2025.
What is the AP PGECET application fee?
₹1,200 for OC, ₹900 for BC and ₹700 for SC/ST in 2026, the same as 2025.
What are the AP PGECET late fees?
₹1,000, ₹2,000, ₹4,000 and ₹10,000 in successive slabs after the normal deadline, each added to the application fee — so an OC candidate in the last slab paid ₹11,200 in 2026.
Where is the AP PGECET syllabus?
On cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, one PDF per paper; none gives a marks weightage.
Are AP PGECET previous question papers available?
Yes — the official site publishes the 2026 master question papers with preliminary keys, and the 2025 papers are also online.
Is there a final answer key for AP PGECET?
The public exam-paper page carries master papers with preliminary keys; we could not find a separately published final key.
How much does an AP PGECET answer-key objection cost?
₹300 per question in 2026, refunded only if the objection is valid.
How long should I prepare for AP PGECET?
No official figure; with a late-April exam on the 2026 pattern, about seven months remain from late September.
Who will conduct AP PGECET 2027?
Not announced. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, conducted it for APSCHE in 2025 and 2026.
Is there an official AP PGECET mock test?
Yes, one per paper, linked from the 2026 home page.
When is the AP PGECET correction window?
In 2026 there was one correction day, 3 April; name, paper and community changes needed an e-mailed request with documents.
Is the AP PGECET syllabus the same as GATE?
The heads overlap with GATE in most engineering papers, but AP PGECET publishes its own syllabus and has no negative marking.
