"KUK PG CET" and "KUK CET" are search names, not exam names. Kurukshetra University holds a separate Entrance Test for each postgraduate programme of its teaching departments on the Kurukshetra campus, and a "Common Entrance Test" only where two programmes share one paper — such as MCA with M.Sc. Computer Science, or the two MBAs. Every one of those papers follows the same rule in the 2026 Handbook: 50 multiple-choice questions of 2 marks each, 100 marks, one hour, and no negative marking, answered on an OMR sheet. This guide sets out the rules, the 2026 timetable, which programmes share a test, and the section patterns KUK publishes.

Where other pages get this wrong
KUK's PG entrance tests have no negative marking — the LL.B. (3-year) paper included.
Commonly published instead: "Each wrong answer carries a −0.25 mark penalty" for the 3-year LL.B., and "negative marking 25%".
The 2026 Handbook says "There is no negative marking" in the pattern for M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./… LL.B. (Professional) 3 Yr., LL.M. and LL.M. (SFS), and repeats it for every other paper.

Condensed from the Handbook 2026, pp. 7–9, with the notice of 22 Jun 2026 that moved five tests clashing with the state teacher eligibility test (HTET) on 4–5 July to 6–8 July; their results all came on 10 July. Three slots a day: 10:00 am, 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm; MFA and M.Sc. Biochemistry shared the 3:30 pm slot on 25 June, so nobody could sit both. Results came two to five days after each test. The 2025 tests ran 21 June – 7 July in the same slots.

From the 2026 timetable in the Handbook. Every other programme has its own paper. The application fee is charged per programme (Handbook clause 7.9: ₹500, or ₹125, for each additional programme), so applying to both halves of a common test costs the extra-programme fee even though you sit one paper.

Admission routes in the Handbook 2026 for programmes of KUK's teaching departments, clauses 6.1–6.7 and 8.5–8.6; affiliated colleges admit separately. The Handbook never mentions CUET, CAT, CMAT or MAT. A scheduled test is also dropped when too few candidates apply — see the merit guide.
Where other pages get this wrong
KUK's MBA admits on its own entrance test (80%), group discussion (10%) and interview (10%).
Commonly published instead: "MBA needs a CAT or CMAT score", "accepting exams: MAT, XAT, ATMA, CAT, CMAT", and CUET-PG for M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.
The 2026 Handbook sets the MBA merit as "Entrance Test (80%), Group Discussion (10%) & the Personal Interview (10%)" and contains no mention of CUET or any national management test.
On the day
What the Handbook requires
- Download the admit card from your IUMS profile; it gives your roll number and centre.
- Be seated early: the sealed booklet and OMR sheet are handed out 15 minutes before the start.
- A blue or black ball-point pen. No calculators, phones or log tables.
- Keep your OMR carbon copy and the booklet — with the key displayed the same day, they let you score yourself before the result.
- Objections to the key go the next day, to the department's e-mail, from the e-mail you registered with, with proof.
Previous papers. KUK publishes answer keys but not question booklets. In 2026 keys for more than 25 papers appeared on the IUMS portal's Answer Key tab between 24 June and 8 July, and revised keys followed for Biochemistry, MCA, Forensic Science and Biotechnology after objections. Since candidates may take the booklet home, seniors' booklets are the closest thing to a past paper — mark them with the key from the portal.
