2. Exam Pattern (AICE-Ph.D.)
The exam is a single paper of 2 hours (120 minutes) consisting of 120 MCQs divided into three parts:
Part A: 20 Qs (General Knowledge/Reasoning)
Part B: 50 Qs (Core Group Subjects)
Part C: 50 Qs (Specialized Subjects)
Marking: +4 for Correct
Negative: -1 for Incorrect

3. Eligibility for 2026
- Educational: Must have a Master's degree in the concerned subject from an ICAR-accredited university.
- Marks: Minimum 60% (6.60/10 OGPA) for Gen/OBC/EWS; 50% (5.60/10 OGPA) for SC/ST/PwD.
- Age: Minimum 20 years as of August 31, 2026. (No upper age limit).
- Citizenship: Candidate must be an Indian National.
