Alerts and Updates for ICAR-AIEEA-JRF

NTA declared the ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (PhD) 2026 results on 29 August 2026, at exams.nta.nic.in/icar; of 42,110 registered candidates (30,619 for AIEEA-PG, 11,491 for AICE-JRF/SRF), 38,720 appeared for the computer-based test held 4 July 2026.

With results just out, NTA's role in this cycle ends; qualified candidates now move to eligibility, self-declaration and document verification at the counselling stage, and are advised to keep checking the NTA and ICAR websites for further updates.

ICAR's counselling portal already lists brochures and seat matrices for AIEEA-PG-2026 (including a Veterinary Disciplines track) and AICE-JRF/SRF(PhD)-2026, though the specific registration and seat-allotment dates for these programmes were not yet posted as of this refresh -- expected to open shortly, covering 11,000+ M.Sc./PhD seats across 75+ agricultural universities.

NTA conducted AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 on 4 July 2026 in computer-based mode, on the same day as ICAR AIEEA (PG). The doctoral test spanned 72 subjects across about 89 cities, with a two-hour duration.

Applications opened on 8 May 2026 and NTA extended the deadline, including fee payment, to 10 June 2026. Ahead of the exam NTA released the advance exam-city slip, opened the scribe portal for PwD/PwBD candidates and issued admit cards from 1 July 2026.

The provisional answer key and challenge window were still awaited as of 11 July 2026; on past cycles they arrive within roughly two weeks of the exam, with results tentatively in August 2026. The JRF/SRF key is released alongside the AIEEA PG key.

Successful candidates compete for ICAR Junior and Senior Research Fellowships and Ph.D. seats in the agricultural university system. Allotment is done through ICAR central online counselling at icarcounseling.com once results are declared, so registering there is a separate mandatory step.

ICAR publishes the official subject-wise syllabus for AICE (JRF/SRF) on its website. With 72 subject papers on offer, choosing the correct subject code and preparing strictly from the ICAR syllabus matters more here than for most entrance tests.
