NSNIS Patiala, the National Institute of Sports under the Sports Authority of India, is finalising admission to the 64th Batch (2026-27) of its one-year Diploma Course in Sports Coaching, with Provisional Merit List-3 and academic-centre allocations for disciplines such as Athletics, Hockey and Volleyball already released after registrations closed on April 23, 2026.

The incoming 2026-27 diploma cohort covers 785 regular plus 104 supernumerary seats across 26 sports disciplines at four centres -- NSNIS Patiala, NSSC Bangalore, NSEC Kolkata and LNCPE Trivandrum -- with total course fees of Rs 63,800 for Indian candidates and Rs 92,800 for foreign candidates.

NSNIS Patiala has declared the final result for the outgoing 63rd Batch (2025-26) of the Diploma Course in Sports Coaching even as admissions for the incoming 64th Batch (2026-27) continue through merit-list-based provisional selection followed by interview.

Admission to the 64th Batch Diploma Course in Sports Coaching (2026-27) is in its final stage. Sports-specific skill tests, general fitness tests and interviews were held offline at NSNIS Patiala on 25-27 June 2026, at SAI Southern Centre Bengaluru on 29 June-1 July 2026, and at SAI Eastern Centre Kolkata on 3-6 July 2026.

NSNIS Patiala has published the provisional merit list for the 64th Batch Diploma in Sports Coaching, following the eligible-candidate lists and the provisional answer key of the written admission test. Candidates should track the Latest News page for the final merit list and joining instructions.

The admission notification dated 27 March 2026 opened online applications for the 64th Batch on 27 March 2026 at 3:00 PM, closing 23 April 2026 at 11:59 PM, with a two-day correction window on 24-25 April 2026. Applications were filed at dipsc.nsnis.in; the written entrance test followed on 31 May 2026.

Beyond the coaching diploma, NSNIS has released merit lists and joining instructions for its 2026-27 PG Diploma programmes in Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning, and Sports Performance Analysis. Results for the May-June 2026 six-week certificate course theory examination have also been declared.
