Alerts and Updates for NCET

NTA declared the NCET 2026 result on June 4, 2026, after conducting the exam on April 17-18, 2026. Candidates can still download their scorecard from the official portal using their application number and date of birth for reference during university admissions.

NCET has no centralised counselling. Each of the 77 recognised participating institutions (4 IITs, 6 NITs, 5 RIEs and other government colleges across four regional committees) runs its own seat-allotment process, so admission status now depends on the individual institute's own portal rather than one common schedule.

With institute-level admissions for the 2026-27 batch now in their concluding stages, the next NCET notification is expected only around the second week of February 2027, so no new application window is open for this cycle.

NTA declared the NCET 2026 result and NTA scores on 4 June 2026, publishing the final answer keys the same day. Candidates log in with their application number and password on the official NCET portal to download the scorecard used for ITEP admission.

NCET 2026 was held on 17 and 18 April 2026 as a computer-based test across 145 cities. 73,608 candidates registered and 58,995 appeared, an attendance rate of 80.14 percent, for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme.

There is no central NCET counselling. Admission is handled by the 223 participating institutions, which include Central and State universities, IITs, NITs and Regional Institutes of Education, covering roughly 16,950 ITEP seats. University merit lists are expected through July 2026, with first-round seat allotment expected by July-August.

Qualified candidates must register separately on each participating institution's own admission portal within its own deadline. For example, IIT Jodhpur's ITEP window ran from 9 to 26 June 2026 and Kurukshetra University's closed on 30 June 2026, so watch each college's notices closely.
