IIFT no longer runs its own written entrance test. Admission to MBA (International Business) and MBA (Business Analytics) 2026-28 is on the basis of the CAT 2025 score, followed by group discussion, personal interview, work experience, academic consistency and gender diversity.

The IIFT 2026-28 final merit list was released in June 2026 and waitlist movement is still under way across the Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada and GIFT City campuses. Waitlisted candidates should watch iift.ac.in and respond to any offer within the short window given.

The published weightage: shortlisting for GD-PI uses CAT 2025 score out of 90 points, plus 5 for work experience and 5 for gender diversity. Final selection is CAT 55, personal interview 20, group discussion 10, gender diversity 5 and work experience 5.

For the MBA 2027-29 batch, aspirants must register for CAT 2026, whose notification is expected around August 2026 with the exam in November 2026. IIFT's own application window is expected to open around October 2026, mirroring the 2026-28 cycle that opened on October 17, 2025. Dates are tentative.

IIFT MBA (IB) 2026–28 admissions through IIFT entrance test conducted on December 8, 2025 are complete. The IIFT 2026 notification for the 2027–29 batch is expected in August 2026.
