Checked 29 September 2026. From Delhi High Court notices (JJA 2026, SPA/PA 2026, stage notices up to No.85 of 22.09.2026) and DSSSB Advertisements 03/2025 and 04/2025. The DSSSB Court Attendant exam dates are reported; its result was not published on 28 September 2026.
The Delhi High Court recruits its non-judicial staff in two ways. It runs its own examinations for the graduate posts — Junior Judicial Assistant/Restorer, Personal Assistant and Senior Personal Assistant — and it asks the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) to hold the written test for the Class 10 posts — Court Attendant, Room Attendant, Security Attendant, Chauffeur and Despatch Rider — before interviewing the shortlist itself. Five recruitments are open or in progress in September 2026. This guide lists every one of them with its vacancies, the stage it has reached, the next date, and who can apply — with a checker that applies each notice’s age rule to your date of birth.

10th pass, 12th pass or graduate: which posts are open to you
The most searched question about these jobs is whether a Class 10 or Class 12 candidate can apply. The answer from the notices is plain. Class 10 (Matriculation) or ITI is enough for the Court Attendant group of 334 posts. The Chauffeur needs Matric or Higher Secondary plus a light-motor-vehicle licence and two years’ driving; the Despatch Rider needs a licence and two years’ experience. There is no post in the current round that asks for exactly Class 12 — a Class 12 candidate qualifies for the Matric-level posts. JJA, PA and Senior PA all need a degree, and a skill: typing for JJA, shorthand plus typing for the stenographer posts.
| Your qualification | Posts you can apply for | Age window |
|---|---|---|
| Class 10 / ITI | Court Attendant, Court Attendant (S), Court Attendant (L), Room Attendant (H), Security Attendant; Chauffeur and Despatch Rider with licence and experience | 18–27 on 01.01.2025 |
| Class 12 | The same as Class 10 — no post in this round asks for Class 12 as such | 18–27 on 01.01.2025 |
| Graduate | JJA/Restorer (with 35 wpm typing); PA (100 wpm shorthand) and Senior PA (110 wpm), both with 40 wpm typing | 18–32 on 01.01.2026 |
DSSSB Advts 03/2025 and 04/2025; JJA 2026 and SPA/PA 2026 notices. The DSSSB posts are no longer open for applications.
Age limit and relaxation

Which Delhi High Court posts can I apply for?
Enter your date of birth (as on your Class 10 certificate), category and highest qualification. The checker applies the age date and relaxation printed in each notice.
JJA and SPA/PA 2026: 18–32 on 01.01.2026 (born 02.01.1994 to 01.01.2008). DSSSB 03/2025 and 04/2025 (attendants, chauffeur, despatch rider): 18–27 on 01.01.2025 (born 02.01.1998 to 01.01.2007). Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3; PwBD 10 (General/EWS), 13 (OBC), 15 (SC/ST). Ex-servicemen and regular Delhi High Court employees have separate rules, not modelled (DSSSB posts: no upper age limit for persons already on the court’s establishment). Skill conditions (typing, shorthand, licence) are listed but not tested. SPA/PA 2026 applications close 05.10.2026; the others are closed.
Where other pages get this wrong
The JJA age limit is 18–32 years in 2026, not 18–27.
Commonly published instead: “Delhi High Court JJA age limit 18–27 years.”
The 2020 JJA notice set 18–27 on 01.01.2020. The 2026 notice sets 18–32 on 01.01.2026. The 18–27 limit still applies to the DSSSB Class 10 posts, which is where the confusion starts.
The OBC certificate rule that trips candidates from outside Delhi
Delhi High Court notices give OBC reservation only on an OBC certificate issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi, for a caste that Delhi recognises as OBC. A certificate from another state does not count, and neither does a Delhi certificate issued for Central Government posts. The Non-Creamy Layer certificate must also be issued by Delhi, in the financial year the notice names — for JJA 2026, between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026. A candidate from outside Delhi with an OBC certificate from home should apply as General (or EWS, if eligible) and prepare for the General cut-off. SC, ST, EWS and PwBD benefits follow the Delhi Government and DoPT instructions; the 2026 JJA notice carries the Delhi-certificate condition for OBC only.
Fees and how to apply
| Recruitment | General / OBC / EWS | SC / ST / PwBD | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| JJA 2026; SPA 2026; PA 2026 | ₹1,500 | ₹1,300 (PwBD only for the benchmark disabilities each notice lists; other PwBD pay ₹1,500) | Per post; SPA and PA need separate applications; PA has no General vacancy in 2026 |
| DSSSB 03/2025 and 04/2025 | ₹100 | Exempt | Women and ex-servicemen also exempt |
| JJA 2020 (for comparison) | ₹600 | ₹300 | — |
Delhi High Court notices (JJA 2026 p. 7; SPA/PA 2026 p. 9); DSSSB Advts 03/2025 and 04/2025; JJA 2020 notice. Plus transaction charges. Fees are not refunded.
Court-run exams are applied for online through the link on the Delhi High Court website (delhihighcourt.nic.in, “Job Openings”); DSSSB exams through DSSSB’s own portal. For SPA/PA 2026, the correction window is 12–14 October 2026, at ₹200 for the first correction and ₹500 for the second. The court warns that the category chosen in the form cannot be changed later, and that reserved-category certificates must be dated on or before the closing date — for SPA/PA, 5 October 2026.
How long a Delhi High Court recruitment takes
| Cycle | Applications | Final result | Months (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| JJA 2020 | Feb–Mar 2020 | 26.08.2022 | ≈ 30 (with COVID) |
| SPA 2023 | Mar 2023 | 30.07.2024 | ≈ 17 |
| PA 2023 | Mar 2023 | 07.05.2025 | ≈ 26 |
| JJA 2026 | Feb 2026 | Main on 04.10.2026; typing and interview not yet dated | 8 and counting |
Delhi High Court result archive. SPA and PA 2023 ran four stages each: typing, shorthand, Main and interview.
Plan for more than a year from notice to joining. The four-stage exams are slow because each stage has its own notice, result and objection window, and the court reschedules when needed — the JJA 2026 Main was first set for 24 May 2026 and cancelled before being re-fixed for 4 October. The Delhi Judicial Service and Delhi Higher Judicial Service are separate judicial exams for law graduates and advocates; they are not covered in this guide.
Practise it, don't just read it
For every graduate post the Main is written in English — essay, letter, grammar and translation. Comprehension is the base of all four.
The ProSyllabus Delhi High Court library currently has a reading-comprehension quiz — the English skill the JJA prelim and Main test directly.
