The fee band of INR 1,000 and INR 625 is the same pair quoted for the Haryana B.Ed application process generally, which suggests a common state fee structure even where the counselling is run university by university. Neither the seat count for MDU-affiliated colleges of education nor the number of participating colleges was stated in any source seen for this cycle.

These dates are reported from the MDU notice by FreeJobAlert and are marked tentative from round 1 onward because MDU has already extended admission dates once this session, to 15 September 2026 for affiliated colleges. Confirm each round against the admission portal on the morning it opens rather than working from a saved calendar.

The commonest error with MDU B.Ed is assuming that a place on the merit list is a place in a college. It is not. The merit list only fixes the order in which candidates choose; the seat is created by turning up in the counselling round, exercising choices and paying within that round. A second, subtler error is assuming Haryana runs one B.Ed counselling for all its universities. In this cycle it does not.

No separate MDU B.Ed entrance test is reported for 2026-27. Selection runs on the marks of the bachelor's or postgraduate degree already held, with a floor of 50 per cent, relaxed to 47.5 per cent for SC, BC and PH candidates. That has two consequences. First, nothing a candidate does between application and counselling changes their rank, so effort belongs in getting the documentary record right at upload stage rather than in preparation. Second, small discrepancies between the marks entered on the form and the marks on the degree certificate are the main reason candidates slip on the provisional list, which is why the gap between the 9 September provisional list and the 18 September final list exists at all.

The reported structure is three online counselling rounds on 24 September, 5 October and 16 October, followed by physical counselling from 27 to 31 October. The physical stage at the end is not a formality: in Haryana B.Ed admissions it is where seats left vacant after the online rounds are filled, often at ranks well below those that cleared round one. A candidate who misses an online round has not necessarily lost the cycle, but each round they skip reduces the set of colleges still holding seats. Treat round one as the round in which the good government-aided and older private colleges of education clear.

Kurukshetra University ran its B.Ed application to a 9 August 2026 deadline on iums.kuk.ac.in, and Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University ran a B.Ed and B.Sc window reported as 29 July to 31 August 2026 on its own portal. MDU's window closed on 27 August. Because the three universities operate distinct portals, distinct deadlines and distinct merit lists, a candidate who wants the widest choice of colleges of education in Haryana has to apply separately to each university whose affiliated colleges they would accept, and pay each application fee, rather than filing once.

Candidates researching this online will meet a direct contradiction. Collegedunia's Haryana B.Ed page states in its FAQ that there is no B.Ed course available at MDU Rohtak. MDU's own admission notices page carries a live link headed Admission Link For B.Ed./M.Ed. 2026-27. The university's own notice is the authority here, and the aggregator entry appears to be stale or to be referring only to the campus department rather than to affiliated colleges of education. Where a coaching site and a university notice disagree on whether a programme exists, go to the university portal and, if still unclear, to the admissions office.

MDU has already issued an extension this session, moving the date of admission in affiliated colleges for 2026-27 to 15 September 2026, and its notices page shows a steady stream of programme-level notices through September. That pattern matters for planning: the counselling dates from 24 September onward should be read as the current plan, not as fixed. The practical habit is to check mdu.ac.in admission notices and the admission portal at least twice a week from now until the physical counselling closes, because an extension that helps a candidate is only useful if they see it before the original deadline passes.
