For the 2026 cycle the CET Cell published its tentative schedule in a public notice dated 21 November 2025, about two months before registration opened.

Candidates prepare for M.P.Ed CET as though it were an ordinary postgraduate written test, and then discover that the field test the following morning carries as much weight as the paper they spent months revising for. On the reported structure the written CET is 50 marks and the field test is 50 marks. Turning up unfit, or stiff from a long journey the night before, discards half the assessment.

The field test reported for this exam is five items of 10 marks each: a 10x4 shuttle run, sit and reach, standing broad jump, sit-ups and a medicine ball throw. These are graded on measured performance, not effort, and they test five different capacities: change-of-direction speed, hamstring and lower-back flexibility, explosive leg power, abdominal endurance and upper-body power. A candidate strong in three of the five and weak in two is giving away marks that no amount of theory revision replaces. Because the items are standard fitness battery events, they respond well to eight to twelve weeks of targeted work, particularly the sit and reach, where flexibility gains come fastest, and the standing broad jump, where technique alone is worth a measurable distance.

Fifty questions in one hour across five subject areas means roughly ten questions per area and about seventy seconds per question. On the reported marking scheme each correct answer earns one mark and there is no negative marking, so the optimal strategy is to answer every item. The five areas reported are foundation of physical education, anatomy physiology and health education, teaching methodology, officiating coaching and management, and tests measurements and evaluation. That spread maps almost exactly onto a standard B.P.Ed syllabus, which means the paper is a recall test of the degree you already hold rather than a test of new material. The written paper was online and the field test offline, which in practice can mean different venues and different reporting instructions, each with its own admit-card requirements. Candidates who book a same-day return after the written paper, or who plan to travel overnight between the two, are arriving at a graded physical assessment in poor condition. The schedule for the next cycle is not yet published, but the CET Cell has held the written and field stages on consecutive days, so plan for the same shape.

The CET Cell registration notice covering M.Ed and M.P.Ed CET 2026 states that candidates must have an APAAR ID generated through DigiLocker in order to register. For postgraduate applicants this is often harder than it is for school leavers, because APAAR seeding depends on academic records already being present in the national system and a B.P.Ed record from a smaller affiliated college may not be. The fix takes time and runs through the awarding institution, not the CET Cell. Anyone intending to sit the next cycle should attempt APAAR generation immediately and escalate through their college if the record does not appear, rather than waiting for the registration notice.

The CET Cell's notice of 12 August 2026 directs candidates and institutes to the respective course admission portal for every CAP notice, circular, information brochure and helpline number for 2026-27; the central notices page now largely points elsewhere. The CAP index, last updated 21 September 2026, lists M.P.Ed under Higher Education postgraduate courses with an active portal. The information brochure hosted on that portal is the document that states the year's fee, reservation rules, document list and round calendar. Anything about cut-offs or seat allotment that does not appear there should be treated as unverified, however confidently a coaching site states it.
