Checked 7 October 2026. Pattern and dates are from the AIAPGET 2026 bulletin and NTA notices through 18 September 2026. NTA's page lists no 2027 notice yet. Where the bulletin and a later notice disagree (internship date) we print both.
Candidates can see their own question paper and responses for a few days, and the answer key for a few days more. After that there is no public archive of full AIAPGET papers on NTA's page. The 2026 bulletin says recorded responses and the question paper stay on the AIAPGET website for two to three days and that the provisional key is displayed for a similar window. We read the AIAPGET page on 7 October 2026 and found the 2026 notices, bulletin, result and final-key links, but no archive of earlier papers. So an "official previous year paper" for AIAPGET, if someone sells one, is a candidate's recollection or a copy of what they saw behind login. For eligibility and registration detail, our dates and eligibility guide remains the longer read; this page adds what changed in 2026.
Pattern from the AIAPGET 2026 bulletin; dates from NTA public notices.

The 2026 pattern in one table
| Item | 2026 (NTA bulletin) |
|---|---|
| Mode and duration | Computer-based test, 120 minutes |
| Questions and marks | 120 MCQs, single correct response, 480 marks |
| Marking | +4 right, -1 wrong, 0 unattempted |
| Medium | Ayurveda Hindi and English; Homoeopathy English only; Siddha Tamil and English; Unani Urdu and English |
| Syllabus | Subjects as per NCISM or NCH graduate-level education regulations of each stream; no marks split by subject is printed in the bulletin |
| Shifts, 22 Aug 2026 | Shift 1, 10:00 to 12:00, Ayurveda; Shift 2, 15:00 to 17:00, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy (notice of 18 Aug) |
| Translation conflicts | The English version of a question is final |
| Application fee | Rs 2,700 UR; Rs 2,450 EWS or OBC-NCL; Rs 1,800 SC, ST, PwBD or third gender |
| Eligibility | BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS or graded BHMS degree or provisional pass; registration; 12-month internship done or due; Indian citizen; no upper age limit |
The bulletin does not publish a subject-wise count of questions, so any page quoting "30 questions from Kriya Sharira" is not citing NTA. It also states that only the English version settles a dispute about translation, which matters for Hindi, Tamil and Urdu medium candidates challenging a key.

Counted from the dates printed in NTA notices.
Two figures in NTA's own documents do not agree, and we print both. The re-examination notice of 22 August says 35,837 Ayurveda candidates appeared at 200 centres; the result press release of 18 September says 35,838 appeared and 205 centres in 104 cities. The one-candidate gap and the centre count may reflect different cut times, but the notices do not say. The bulletin also fixes the internship cut-off at 31 August 2026, and the 22 July notice supersedes it with 31 October 2026 "for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy", leaving every other provision unchanged.
How the answer-key challenge worked
The mechanism is the same each year, with the 2026 numbers below. NTA put up the provisional key and the question paper with each candidate's recorded responses. Candidates could challenge a key online only, paying Rs 200 per question by card or net banking, with supporting evidence. Challenges without payment, after the deadline, by another mode or without justification were not considered. A panel of subject experts reviewed them; if one was valid the key was revised and applied to all candidates' responses; NTA did not tell individuals whether theirs was accepted. After the final result, no grievance on the key is entertained and there is no re-checking or re-totalling.
| Step | Detail | What it can change |
|---|---|---|
| View recorded responses and question paper | Two to three days (bulletin); 2026 window from 3 September | Nothing by itself |
| Challenge online | Rs 200 per question, 3 to 5 September 2026, no extension stated | A key revised to another option, multiple correct options, or a dropped question |
| Final key and result | 18 September 2026 | Only the final key is used for the merit list, on raw marks |
| After the result | No re-evaluation, re-checking or re-totalling | Nothing |
If a key changes, only candidates who marked the revised answer correctly are credited (those who marked the old answer lose the marks they had); if a question is dropped for a technical error, all candidates get the marks whether they tried it or not. Both rules are in the bulletin's marking scheme. With -1 for a wrong answer, a successful challenge on a question you got wrong is worth five marks, which is why a few well-evidenced challenges can matter at the top of the merit list, where tie-breaks start with fewer negative responses (see the marks guide).
Previous-year papers: what exists and what does not
Where other pages get this wrong
NTA does not publish a downloadable archive of AIAPGET question papers on its AIAPGET page.
Commonly published instead: Pages offering "official AIAPGET previous year question papers 2019 to 2025" as PDFs.
The bulletin says the question paper and recorded responses are displayed to candidates for two to three days after the exam. The AIAPGET page of 7 October 2026 listed notices, the bulletin, scorecard and answer-key pages for 2026 only. Papers circulating later are reconstructions or screenshots; treat their answers as unverified until you check them against a standard text.
| Question | Answer | Official? |
|---|---|---|
| Where do I see my own paper? | On the AIAPGET site after login, in the days NTA announces | Yes |
| Where is the final key? | Behind candidate login on the AIAPGET site; the process is in Annexure I of the 18 September notice | Yes |
| Is there a public archive of full past papers? | Not on the AIAPGET page on 7 October 2026 | None found |
| Are there sample papers or mock tests from NTA? | We found none on that page | None found |
That leaves you to practise from the syllabus itself. The NCISM and NCH graduate regulations are the basis of the paper; the bulletin tells candidates to read them on the NCISM and NCH sites. Topic quizzes are the practical stand-in for a paper you cannot get. Our library covers Ayurveda basics only, so for Homoeopathy, Siddha and Unani you will need other sources.
Practise it, don't just read it
With +4 and -1, a topic you answer at 70 per cent accuracy still beats a topic you leave blank. Use the quizzes to find topics where your accuracy is below that line.
The ProSyllabus AIAPGET library has ten quizzes on eight topics: Tridosha and Prakriti Assessment, Basic Sharira Rachana Landmarks, Marma Classification and Clinical Significance, Samhita Kala and Kriya Kala, Dravyaguna: Rasa Panchaka, Agni and Ama Concepts, Srotas and Body Channels and Panchakarma Procedures. They cover Ayurveda basics only; there is nothing yet for Homoeopathy, Siddha or Unani, and these are practice quizzes, not past papers.
Frequently asked questions
What is the AIAPGET exam pattern in 2026?
A computer-based test of 120 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes, 480 marks, +4 for a right answer and -1 for a wrong one, nothing for a blank. Ayurveda was in Shift 1 and Homoeopathy, Siddha and Unani in Shift 2 on 22 August 2026.
How much did the AIAPGET answer key challenge cost?
Rs 200 per question, non-refundable, paid online by debit card, credit card or net banking between 3 and 5 September 2026. Challenges needed evidence, and NTA did not tell candidates individually whether they were accepted.
When was the AIAPGET 2026 final answer key released?
On 18 September 2026, the same day as the result, through the candidate login on the AIAPGET site.
Are AIAPGET previous year papers available officially?
We found no public archive on NTA's AIAPGET page on 7 October 2026. The bulletin says the paper and recorded responses are shown to candidates for two to three days after the exam.
What was the internship cut-off for AIAPGET 2026?
The bulletin said 31 August 2026, but NTA's notice of 22 July 2026 moved it to 31 October 2026 for all four streams, at NCISM and NCH request.
Why do two NTA notices give different appeared numbers?
The 22 August re-exam notice says 35,837 Ayurveda candidates appeared at 200 centres; the 18 September result release says 35,838 and 205 centres. NTA does not explain the difference.
Is there negative marking in AIAPGET?
Yes. One mark is deducted for each wrong answer. If a question has four options, a blind guess has an expected value of +0.25 marks per question (our arithmetic), but the first tie-break rewards fewer negative responses.
