ESAT (Engineering and Science Admissions Test)
The Engineering and Science Admissions Test is the admissions assessment for engineering, natural sciences and related degrees at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, and from 2027 entry at the University of Oxford, which adopted it in place of the PAT. Candidates sit three 40-minute modules of 27 multiple-choice questions each: Mathematics 1 is compulsory, with two further modules chosen from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics 2. The test rewards rapid, accurate problem solving rather than long written method, giving roughly 89 seconds per question.
