DSC1 Deer Stalking Certificate (UK)
Deer Stalking Certificate 1 (DSC1) is the initial qualification for deer stalkers and managers in the UK, awarded by Deer Management Qualifications (DMQ) through approved assessment centres. It has five modules: a written test of 50 multiple-choice questions (pass at least 40), a visual test of 20 images of the six wild deer species (species and sex, pass at least 16), a Game Meat Hygiene test of 40 multiple-choice questions (pass at least 32), a safety assessment and a shooting test. Candidates have three years from registration to pass all five, and can take them in one day on an assessment-only DSC1.
