Introduction to JEE (Main) 2025 Exam Schedule

The JEE (Main) 2025 examination is divided into two sessions, providing candidates with flexibility in choosing their preferred time to take the exam. Understanding the schedule and structure of the examination day is crucial for effective preparation and ensuring a smooth exam experience. This guide covers everything you need to know about the JEE (Main) 2025 exam schedule, including dates, session timings, and what to expect on the day of the exam.

JEE (Main) 2025 will be conducted in two sessions:

- **Session 1:** Between 24 January and 01 February 2025
- **Session 2:** Between 01 April and 15 April 2025

Exact dates, shifts, and exam cities will be made available to candidates on their Admit Cards. It is important to keep track of these dates and prepare accordingly to avoid any last-minute confusion.

JEE (Main) 2025 is conducted in the following modes:

- **Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech):** Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- **Paper 2A (B.Arch):** Part-I (Mathematics) and Part-II (Aptitude Test) in CBT mode; Part-III (Drawing Test) in Pen and Paper mode
- **Paper 2B (B.Planning):** CBT mode only for all sections

The exam is conducted in two shifts each day:

- **First Shift:** 09:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon (IST)
- **Second Shift:** 03:00 P.M. to 06:00 P.M. (IST)

For the B.Arch and B.Planning papers, the duration extends to 3 hours 30 minutes, from 09:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. or 03:00 P.M. to 06:30 P.M.

Candidates are advised to report at the examination centre two hours before the commencement of the exam. Entry starts at 07:00 A.M. for the first shift and 01:00 P.M. for the second shift. During this time, candidates will undergo frisking, biometric registration, and document verification. The test will commence exactly at the scheduled time, so punctuality is crucial.
