JNU Admission & JNUEE 2026 Updates

Status: Application Windows Active/Upcoming

1. Undergraduate Admissions (BA Hons & B.Sc)

Admission to JNU's UG programs is now strictly through CUET (UG) 2026. Candidates must select JNU as a preference in the NTA portal.

  • Application Window: Jan 3 – Jan 30, 2026
  • Exam Dates: May 11 – May 31, 2026
  • Requirement: English Test (Section IA) + General Test (Section III) are mandatory for most BA Hons courses.

2. Postgraduate Admissions (MA, M.Sc, MCA)

For PG courses, JNU accepts CUET (PG) 2026 scores. Note that selection is based solely on the Domain Knowledge (Part B) of the exam.

  • Registration Status: Closed (Jan 23, 2026). Correction window open Jan 28-30.
  • Exam Date: Scheduled for March 2026.
  • JNU PG Portal: Registration for counseling starts in May 2026.

3. PhD Entrance (JNUEE)

JNU continues to conduct its own Computer Based Test (CBT) for certain PhD categories, while others are admitted via NET (JRF/LS) scores.

  • PhD Phase II (Winter): Merit lists published Jan 2026.
  • Next Cycle (2026-27): Notification expected in April 2026.
  • Selection: 70% weightage to NET/Entrance score and 30% to Viva-Voce.
