GNDU Entrance Exam 2026 Guide: GMET Tips, Pattern & Campus Rules

Whether you are appearing for the GMET (MBA) or a Departmental test for B.Sc/M.Sc, GNDU generally follows a candidate-friendly marking scheme. For most campus-level exams, the key highlight is the absence of negative marking.

For the MBA Entrance (GMET), the paper is split into four equal sections of 50 marks each. Here is how to budget your 150 minutes:

• Business Aptitude & GK (30 Mins): These are factual. Start here to build momentum. You either know the answer or you don't.
• English Language (40 Mins): Focus on Reading Comprehension and Error Detection. These are scoring areas for GNDU aspirants.
• Mental & Numerical Ability (60 Mins): This is usually the most time-consuming. Save at least an hour for this to avoid calculation errors.
• Review (20 Mins): Since there's no negative marking, ensure every single bubble (or digital option) is filled.

GNDU is strict about identity verification at the campus gates. Ensure you have the following:

• Admit Card: Printed from gnduadmissions.org (Carry two copies).
• Valid Photo ID: Original Aadhaar Card, Passport, or PAN Card.
• Photographs: 2 passport-size photos (same as uploaded in the application).
• Stationery: For offline tests, use a Black/Blue ballpoint pen. Transparent pouches only.

The GNDU Amritsar campus is sprawling. If your center is at the University Business School (UBS) or the Department of Mathematics, it might be a 10-15 minute walk from the main gate.

• Reach Early: Arrive at the campus at least 60 minutes before the exam starts.
• Parking: If you are coming via personal vehicle, parking is usually allowed in designated areas near the entrance gates.
• Biometrics: For online (CBT) exams, biometric and facial registration is mandatory and can take time.
