The National Sports University Entrance Examination (NSUEE-2026) runs from 14 to 17 July 2026 on the Imphal campus, per the schedule issued on 8 July 2026. Written tests are on 14 July, the Physical Fitness Test on 15 July, and the Game Proficiency Test on 16-17 July 2026.

The schedule covers undergraduate BPES and B.Sc. (Sports Coaching) and postgraduate MPES, M.Sc. Sports Coaching, M.Sc. Sports Psychology and M.Sc. Applied Sports Nutrition. Candidates assemble at 8:00 AM on 14 July, with credential verification from 4:30 PM the same day; direct-admission candidates report at 7:00 AM.

NSU posted an addendum to the list of eligible candidates on 7 July 2026. Admit cards are not posted; candidates must download them from the NSU application portal login. Online applications for 2026-27 had been extended to 30 June 2026.

Separately, NSU released an Employment Notification for contractual faculty and non-teaching posts on 10 July 2026, with separate application forms for teaching and non-teaching categories available on the university website.

Note that NSU, set up under the National Sports University Act 2018 at Khuman Lampak, Imphal, is a central university funded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Clearing the Physical Fitness Test is compulsory: failing it disqualifies a candidate regardless of written-test marks.
