This page's uri/name still says '2023,' but IIT Delhi recruits year-round: its R&D wing (IRD) opened a Project Scientist-III post (1 vacancy, PhD in Optics/Interferometry/Holography/Optical Imaging, Rs 78,000/month plus 30% HRA) on August 21, 2026, applications open till September 3, 2026.

IIT Delhi also held walk-in interviews on August 27, 2026 for two contractual Engineer posts -- one in medical-device electronics, one in injection-molding/plastics -- paying Rs 50,000-90,000/month consolidated; the notice was published August 13, 2026.

A separate notice sought one Jr. Project Assistant (Admin.) with a Centrally Funded Technical Institution background and 8+ years' experience, paying Rs 32,976/month consolidated, with online applications due August 27, 2026 -- published August 18, 2026.

None of this is one consolidated 2026 recruitment drive: IIT Delhi's R&D division posts individual, project-specific contractual openings on a rolling basis at ird.iitd.ac.in, so there is no single 'IIT Delhi Recruitment 2026' notification to point students to.

IIT Delhi's big 2026 non-academic drive ran under advertisements E-II/01/2026(DR) and E-II/02/2026(DR), both dated February 26, 2026, covering Group A, B and C posts. Applications opened on February 26, 2026 and the deadline was extended to April 23, 2026, so the window is now closed.

Posts advertised included Superintending Engineer, Chief Security Officer, Medical Officer and Medical Officer (Psychiatry), Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Application Analyst, Career Counsellor, Assistant Administrative Officer, Administrative Assistant and Accounts & Audit Assistant.

Shortlisting is complete: post-wise provisional shortlists and selection notices from the NIELIT-run examination process are now published on the Jobs@IITD page. Applicants should check the note against their specific post rather than waiting for individual emails.

IIT Delhi's direct-recruitment applications are processed through the NIELIT portal at recruit-iitd.nielit.in, with a fee of Rs 1,500 for General, OBC and EWS candidates and Rs 750 for SC, ST, PwD, ex-servicemen and women applicants. Group A posts use a tiered written test, presentation and interview.
