ICAR no longer runs a standalone AIEEA-UG test: since 2023, undergraduate seats at ICAR and state agricultural universities (BSc Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry and allied courses) are filled using CUET-UG scores, routed through ICAR's own counselling portal rather than a separate entrance exam.

ICAR-UG online counselling 2026 (CUET-UG based) ran four regular seat-allotment rounds from July 31 through August 14, 2026, followed by a mop-up round allotted August 22; document verification for that final round was extended to August 23, 2026, per the official counselling brochure.

Registration for CUET-UG qualifiers seeking ICAR seats opened July 17 and closed July 23, 2026, with rank release and choice-filling running July 26-29 ahead of the first seat-allotment round on July 31 -- the full round-wise schedule sits on ICAR's counselling site.

There is no separate ICAR AIEEA UG paper any more. Undergraduate admission into the ICAR-Agricultural University system now runs on CUET (UG) scores under CUET (ICAR-UG). NTA declared the CUET UG 2026 result and released scorecards on 23 June 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in.

ICAR has published the public notice and information bulletin for CUET (ICAR-UG) 2026. It covers 13 bachelor's programmes and the seat-sharing rule: 20 percent of agricultural-university seats, but 100 percent of seats at RLBCAU Jhansi, Dr RPCAU Pusa, ICAR-NDRI Karnal and ICAR-IARI New Delhi.

Counselling dates for the 2026-27 session are still awaited and are expected shortly after the CUET UG result. Over 6,000 seats across 13 UG programmes are on offer, only CUET UG 2026 candidates may register, and ICAR says there is no direct nomination to any bachelor's programme.

Registration, choice filling and seat allotment happen only on the ICAR central counselling portal, icarcounseling.com, against a non-refundable registration fee. Reports place the opening tentatively in the first week of September 2026, so confirm the schedule there before paying anything.

Programmes filled through this route include B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fisheries Science, Community Science, Sericulture and Natural Farming, plus B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Food Technology and Biotechnology. Class 12 must include the required science or agriculture subjects.
