Placement is the reason most people pay for a C-DAC course, and it is the thing least well documented. C-DAC publishes no placement rate and no average package for its programmes or its centres. What exists is C-DAC's own general statements, and batch-by-batch records that some Authorised Training Centres publish about themselves. This page sets out both, and what they can and cannot tell you.
Where other pages get this wrong
No official source gives a C-DAC placement percentage or average package.
Commonly published instead: "C-DAC placement rate 90%+", "average package ₹6 LPA" presented as C-DAC figures.
C-DAC's placement page says more than 500 companies visit and that it places more than 2,000 students every batch; the booklet says more than 400 companies took part in its campus placements in 2024 and 2025. Neither gives a percentage or a salary. Rates and packages quoted online come from individual centres' own publications, or from nowhere.

Set against capacity, "more than 2,000 placed every batch" is a statement about numbers, not a rate: the August 2026 batch had 5,740 seats. C-DAC does not say how many students completed the course, how many sought a job, or what they were paid.
What one ATC publishes
Published by Sunbeam on its own website; includes on-campus, off-campus and "local campus" placements. The same page gives 97–100% for every batch from 2014 to 2021. Self-reported, not audited.

Two things stand out even allowing for self-reporting. The rate has fallen since 2022 — from the near-total placement Sunbeam reports for 2014–2021 to between 72% and 93% since — which matches a softer hiring market for freshers. And course matters: in the same batch at the same centre, Mobile Computing placed 49% while ITISS placed 84%, and the average package ranged from ₹4.50 L to ₹6.85 L.

The ordering is broadly stable across the two batches: infrastructure and security (DITISS), big data (DBDA) and advanced computing (DAC) place the highest share, mobile computing the lowest. Averages move by up to a lakh between batches in the same course, which is a reminder of how small these groups are — a few dozen students in most courses.
How placement works at C-DAC
The two channels
- C-DAC's Common Campus Placement Programme (CCPP) — run region-wise in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and Pune, around the end of the course. The August 2025 notice advertised it to employers as "3000+ ready-to-deploy" graduates.
- Each centre's own placement effort — which is what an ATC's published record describes, alongside off-campus and self-found jobs.
- The course-end examination is centrally conducted; the booklet requires 85% attendance to sit it.
- The booklet lists around 120 companies that have taken part in C-DAC placements.

Reading any placement claim
Five questions to ask
- Rate of what? Placed out of the batch, out of those who sat the course-end exam, or out of those who registered for placement?
- Which placements count? Sunbeam includes off-campus and self-placed students, which a stricter count would not.
- Mean or median? A few high packages lift an average; Sunbeam does not say which it uses, and the highest packages are well above the averages.
- Which course and centre? The spread between courses in one batch is wider than the change between batches.
- Who published it? A centre's own page is marketing as well as record. C-DAC itself publishes no rate.
Questions to ask a centre before you pay

A centre that publishes batch-level numbers with its method is giving you something to check; one that quotes only a highest package or a list of logos is not. Either way, C-DAC's own statements are about the programme as a whole, not about the centre you will attend.

Fees from the August 2026 booklet with GST at the 18% it quotes (our arithmetic). The course is full time, six days a week, for 24 weeks, so the real cost includes half a year without other income. Set that against Sunbeam's reported averages — gross annual packages, self-reported, and only for those placed — and remember that between a sixth and a half of each course in those same figures was not placed.

What is the C-DAC placement percentage?
C-DAC does not publish one. Its placement page says more than 2,000 students are placed every batch and more than 500 companies visit; percentages quoted online come from individual centres or are unsourced.
What is the average package after C-DAC?
No official figure exists. Sunbeam, an Authorised Training Centre, reports an average of ₹6.85 L for its Pune DAC batch of August 2025 and between ₹4.50 L and ₹6.15 L for other courses in the same batch, on its own website.
Is C-DAC worth it in 2026?
It depends on course, centre and your own profile. Published centre data shows placement rates falling from near-total before 2022 to 72–93% for PG-DAC at one leading ATC since, and wide differences between courses.
Does C-DAC guarantee placement?
No. The fee includes placement assistance, and C-DAC runs a Common Campus Placement Programme; neither is a guarantee.
Has C-DAC placement gone down?
One leading ATC's own figures suggest so: Sunbeam reports 97–100% for PG-DAC in 2014–2021 and between 72% and 93% per batch since September 2022. C-DAC publishes no series of its own.

Do C-DAC centres publish placement data?

Is the C-DAC certificate valued by employers?
The programme is now an NCVET-approved PG Certificate of 40 credits. What employers value is not something any official source measures; the published placement figures above are the closest evidence, with their caveats.
Does C-DAC help with placement for online students?
The fee for every programme includes placement assistance. But the August 2026 booklet says campus placements are held physically or online as the company and C-DAC decide, and that students must be stationed in the city where their placement region's drive is held — Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida or Pune. An online student should plan to be in that city for placements.
How much does a C-DAC course cost in total?
For PGCP-AC in August 2026, ₹99,000 + GST physical (about ₹1,16,820) or ₹84,150 + GST online (about ₹99,297), plus hostel or living costs for six months, which each centre or city sets.
Which C-DAC course has the best placement?
No official comparison exists. In Sunbeam's own August 2025 figures, ITISS placed 84% and DBDA 80%, DAC 72%, ESD 69% and MC 49%, with DAC having the highest average package at ₹6.85 L.
