Finnish intermediate test days with all four subtests (oph.fi)
Test facts from oph.fi (Finnish National Agency for Education), its framework for the test and the University of Jyväskylä's description, read 13 October 2026. Frames, phrases and model texts are our own Finnish. Check oph.fi and your test centre for every later notice.
What went into these seven pages
Written from the primary documents, not from other people's notes:
- oph.fi (Finnish National Agency for Education): choosing a test and the test days, registering, the test day, after the test, the certificate, and language skills for citizenship, read 13 October 2026.
- The framework for the test (Yleisten kielitutkintojen perusteet 2011) and the University of Jyväskylä's description of the subtests.
- Every point checked against the official text by two independent AI reviewers; points they flagged were rewritten until both passed them.
The official pages give the length of the test day but not the minutes or the number of tasks in each subtest, so the kit states neither. Model texts are our own, not official tasks.
Questions
Is it only for the last week before the exam?
No. It is a cheatsheet of the important points, formulas and facts. Keep it on your phone and use it all through your preparation: before a mock, when a topic slips, and for one full read in the final days.
How do I get it after paying?
It's yours the moment the payment clears, and you come straight back to this page with Download and Read buttons. It stays in your ProSyllabus account.
Will the kit be updated after I buy it?
Yes. We regularly correct and improve our kits as syllabi, notifications and exam patterns change. Each time you download from this page you get the latest version, at no extra cost — so check back here from time to time, and download it again before your exam.
Can I pay with UPI?
Yes — UPI, cards or netbanking on a secure payment page. If you already have ProSyllabus credits, they are used instead and nothing is charged.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. Page 1 is on this page in full, free. It is the same page you would get.
Is it in Finnish?
The explanations are in English. The frames, phrases, model texts and examples are in Finnish, because that is what you write and say in the test.
Does it cover the digital test?
Yes. All Finnish tests in spring 2027 are taken on a computer at the test centre; page 7 says what the Finnish National Agency for Education has published about it. The Finnish you need is the same.
Does it contain real test tasks?
No. It points you to the free example questions that oph.fi links to. The model texts are on tasks of our own.
Will it teach me Finnish to B1?
No. It is for someone at or near the level who needs to know the test and have the right Finnish ready for each subtest.
Is this an official document?
No. It is a revision kit compiled by ProSyllabus from the public pages of the Finnish National Agency for Education. Always check oph.fi and your test centre.
What does this kit cover?
Seven pages in English with the Finnish you need: the four subtests and what each asks, grade 3 against grade 4, the citizenship rule, the test days and fee, frames and three model texts for writing, fourteen situations and a model talk for speaking, a method for reading and listening with the small words that flip an answer, spoken against written Finnish, sixteen grammar points and eighteen verbs with their case.
