What went into these seven pages

Written from the primary documents, not from other people's notes:

  • GFR 2017 Chapter 6 as amended up to 31.07.2024; the Indian Contract Act 1872 and the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 from India Code.
  • ICAI's Ind AS 7 for cash flow classification; standard finance theory for formulas, each worked figure shown.
  • Every point is tied to the rule, section or method it comes from.

Nothing in the kit is ranked by question frequency or presented as the paper's content; the practice questions are our own, written from the official texts and standard finance theory.

Questions

Is it only for the last week before the exam?

No. It is a cheatsheet of the important points, formulas and facts. Keep it on your phone and use it all through your preparation: before a mock, when a topic slips, and for one full read in the final days.

How do I get it after paying?

It's yours the moment the payment clears, and you come straight back to this page with Download and Read buttons. It stays in your ProSyllabus account.

Will the kit be updated after I buy it?

Yes. We regularly correct and improve our kits as syllabi, notifications and exam patterns change. Each time you download from this page you get the latest version, at no extra cost — so check back here from time to time, and download it again before your exam.

Can I pay with UPI?

Yes — UPI, cards or netbanking on a secure payment page. If you already have ProSyllabus credits, they are used instead and nothing is charged.

Which topics does the kit cover?

All seven units of the C-1 syllabus: analysis of financial statements; value and return; investment decisions; financial planning and capital structure; sources of finance; international financial management; and public procurement with the Indian Contract Act 1872 and the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996.

Which GFR text does the kit use?

GFR 2017 Chapter 6 as amended up to 31 July 2024, the text we used for the procurement limits. The kit names the rule for each limit.

Does it give the number of questions in the paper?

No. CAG publishes 2 hours and 100 marks for each paper, 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer in CBT mode and a 50% pass mark in each paper, but not the number of questions, so the kit does not state one.

Is this a CAG document?

Independent study site, not affiliated with CAG. This kit is a revision aid, not a CAG document.

Can I see it before buying?

Yes. Page 1 is free to read in full on this page; the other six pages are the kit.

What does this kit cover?

Paper C-1 runs from ratio analysis to public procurement law. Seven pages cover all seven syllabus units: the ratios worked on one company, time value with exact factors, six capital budgeting methods applied to one project, capital rationing, leverage and the cost of capital, sources of finance in one table, foreign exchange and modes of payment, the GFR 2017 procurement limits as amended in July 2024, and the Contract and Arbitration Act sections in plain words. Eight traps and 20 practice questions close it, each answer with its reason.
