The real exam, from CAG’s own pages
- Paper C-1 syllabus: analysis of financial statements; concepts of value and return; investment decisions; financial planning and capital structure; sources of finance; international financial management; public procurement, with the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- Each paper: 2 hours and 100 marks (revised CPD syllabus). CAG does not publish how many questions a paper has.
- Negative marking: CAG’s examination FAQ says that, as of now, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer in departmental examinations held in CBT mode, so each wrong answer costs a quarter of a mark.
- Pass mark: 50% in each paper. A paper you pass counts as passed and is exempt at later sittings.
- Chances and benefit: six chances at each CPD test; qualifying a test earns one advance increment.
- When: twice a year. Exam-2 of 2025 was held from 28 January to 1 February 2026 and Exam-1 of 2026 from 22 to 27 June 2026. The next sitting is announced in an exam wing circular.
Checked on 29 October 2026 on CAG’s CPD examination page, the revised CPD syllabus and CAG’s examination FAQ, and in the exam wing circulars for Exam-2 of 2025 and Exam-1 of 2026.

What do I get?
Two full C-1 mocks of 100 questions, 2 hours each, across all seven units of the CAG syllabus for C-1. Every answer has an explanation, and every calculation is worked step by step. Each mock runs in our exam player (timer, question palette, mark for review) and ends with your score by unit and your time per question. Resit each mock as often as you like.
Are these real CAG questions?
No. They are our own questions, written to the CAG syllabus. CAG has not written or endorsed them.
Does it use negative marking?
CAG’s examination FAQ says that, as of now, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer in departmental examinations held in CBT mode. Our player gives 1 mark per correct answer; for a negative-marked score on our mock, subtract 0.25 for each wrong answer. That is our practice score, not a forecast of your CAG result.
Is the exam 100 questions?
CAG publishes each paper as 2 hours and 100 marks, but not the number of questions. Our mocks are 100 questions of 1 mark each in 2 hours.
How do I pay and get access?
One payment in Indian rupees by UPI or card, handled by our payment provider. Access opens on this device straight after payment. Sign in afterwards to keep it on your account. Access does not expire.
Independent study site, not affiliated with CAG. Every question is our own, written from the official texts: none is a CAG exam, sample or past question. CAG does not publish the number of questions in a CPD paper, so our 100-question, 2-hour format is ours. Purchase policy.
