This calendar belongs to Advertisement 02/2024, which covered post codes 803/24 to 811/24 together, so the application window and the examination cycle were common to TGT English, Social Science, Natural Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu and Drawing Teacher as well. Only the result notices and cut-offs are post-code specific. The two reported e-dossier windows conflict, so verify against the DSSSB notice.

Mathematics carries by far the largest vacancy count of any DSSSB TGT subject, and candidates read that as an easier route in. The 803/24 numbers say otherwise: 25,276 appeared and 1,567 were shortlisted against 1,108 advertised posts. Volume of posts is matched by volume of applicants, and the paper that sorts them is graduate-level algebra and analysis, not the school mathematics the post will actually teach.

The Section B content reported for DSSSB TGT Mathematics is a B.Sc. honours reading list: single-variable and multivariate calculus, ordinary and partial differential equations, real analysis, abstract algebra through group theory and ring theory, linear algebra, complex analysis and metric spaces. None of that appears in a class six to ten syllabus. Candidates who revise from NCERT textbooks and secondary-level coaching material are preparing for the wrong half of the paper, because the school-level arithmetic in the exam sits in Section A and is worth only 20 questions. Real analysis and metric spaces in particular are the topics most often dropped by candidates whose degree was a general B.Sc. rather than a mathematics honours course.

As reported for Post Code 803/24, 25,276 candidates appeared, 1,567 were shortlisted for e-dossier against 1,108 advertised posts, and 29 were later rejected on 1 September 2026 under Notice No. 1654 for failing to upload documents in the OARS window. The shortlist is therefore about 41 per cent larger than the vacancy count, which is DSSSB's normal cushion for verification failures and withdrawals. The practical lesson from the rejection notice is administrative rather than academic: the notice records no provision for appeal, reopening of the window or reconsideration, so a cleared paper can still be lost at the document stage.

Mathematics has historically cut lower than Natural Science or Computer Science in the same family. For the 2022 cycle the reported TGT Mathematics figures for female candidates are UR 102.77, OBC 71.07, SC 61.71 and ST 62.75 out of 200. An earlier cycle, reported variously as 2018 and as 2021 by different sources, gives Mathematics at UR 82.05, OBC 81.41, SC 60.78 and ST 73.32. Against the same 2022 cycle, Natural Science female UR was 123.06 and Computer Science UR was 123.93. The gap is real but it is a function of the applicant pool, not of an easier paper, and the unreserved target should still be treated as above 110.

With 100 subject questions spread across roughly eight named areas, the marginal return on a ninth pass through calculus is low. Calculus, linear algebra and differential equations are the high-frequency, mechanical topics and should be secured first because they are solvable under a 36-second average. Real analysis, complex analysis and metric spaces produce more definitional and true-or-false style items than computational ones, so they reward learning theorem statements, standard counterexamples and conditions rather than working proofs. Group and ring theory sit between the two. Teaching methodology and B.Ed. material also falls inside Section B and is frequently ignored entirely by mathematics graduates who came through a general degree.

DSSSB Advertisement 03/2026, dated 29 May 2026, covers about 1,979 posts across roughly 25 post codes, but its only teaching post codes are 41/26 TGT Computer Science and 42/26 Domestic Science Teacher. There is no Mathematics post code in it. Candidates waiting for the next Mathematics opening should watch the DSSSB notifications and vacancy notice pages rather than act on speculation, and should note that the 803/24 process from Advertisement 02/2024 is still running to its conclusion. Keeping the degree marksheets, B.Ed. certificate and CTET Paper II result scanned and current is the only useful preparation for an unannounced window.
